How do you get it off?   the key is not working to unlock from seat belt.  i put it on.  now i can't drive my own car because i can't get it to unlock

- Insert key. Note length of key wont fully go into lock
- Gently turn key clockwise. You will see inner 'circle' of lock depress. Lock is still activated at this point.
- When you get the right amount of key turn, the key length will fully go into the lock and it will release from the seat belt. For those who are new this lock, I strongly recommend you try locking/unlocking it from the seat belt WITHOUT threading it through the steering wheel until you get the feel for it.

Can’t they just cut the seat belt ?

cutting the seatbelt has nothing to do with this. it loops through the steering wheel and locks through the seat belt buckle. if someone wanted to really steal your car with this on they’d have to have a heavy duty steel cutter.

Will it fit a 2017 f250 super duty XL?

I would think it would fit any vehicles steering wheel as long as you put your seat forward enough to accommodate slipping it into the seatbelt lock. And some people seem frustrated at trying to unlock it I found that you need to turn the key it push it in a bit past the lip of the lock and leave the key that way as you disengage from the seatbelt latch. If you don’t keep pushing in while you release the lock you will become frustrated.

I am wondering, if the black cover is plastic ? Because if it is, someone would just have to use a screw driver to force the release button of the buc

Yes the cover is a very heavy black plastic. I use it in conjunction with my club steering wheel lock so I always put them both on. Many people laugh at me for being over protective of my older van but like I tell them some people can afford to have their vehicle stolen and some people can’t. I can’t.
