44" Wide Plain Polyester Faux Dupion Raw Silk Satin Finish Dress Craft Patch Fabric Sold by The Meter (White, 1 Meter)

I bought this for a craft project, an Advent calendar featuring a Christmas tree on a snowy background with a night sky. The finished item is about 1 metre square. I originally wanted white satin for the snow but decided on this fabric because it had a club texture. The finished product looked good but unfortunately the fabric was slightly see through and frayed a lot. I had a problem where the snow met the sky, the dark blue showed through the white and the over stitching shredded the fabric. I had to cover it up with tiny felt fir trees. The slub texture was also slanted rather than following the grain. I cannot include a photo as I made it for my great-niece and I no longer have it. It is the fifth one I've made for different children in the family and It was the most problematic. I am giving it 3 stars because it did look good in the end.

The media could not be loaded.  Perfect fabric, smooth, soft, silky and the colour is just as the picture, i really like the soft shimmer. The only reason for my 4 stars is because of the writing in the fabric, it not a good idea.

Used for lining hats but weave too loose and falls apart .

could not possibly wear this anywhere near your skin. I asked the supplier if I could return or swap and they have not come back to me.
