National Geographic Rock Bingo and Gemstone Trivia Game for Kids

We love it so much, we sent another one to another family! The cards are interesting, the rocks are lovely, and I find it a relaxing game to play with the family.

I have a 7 year old daughter that loves collecting rocks for some reason, but she usually picks up old ugly rocks from driveways and rock paths. You know the ones, the bland, featureless ones that look like they are left over from a construction project. I support her but internally cringed every time she picked one of those up. Then I bought this set. She was so amazed at all of the different types of rocks and minerals, that we sat down for over an hour playing just rock bingo. We read the cards aloud and she was super inquisitive as she gazed at the shiny stones. Her favorite is pyrite because "it sparkles". I am a fan of tiger's eye and she thought they looked very cool as well. She loved trying to differentiate between the different gemstones and I dont think she will ever go back to picking up garbage rocks ever again. She learned a lot, had fun, and didnt even think about her tablet or game console while we were learning and playing!

Loved these National Geographic rock collections for my six-year-old granddaughter! They also taught her the various names of the gems and helped to make her interested in going on a field trip to dig them up herself!

My niece is a girl who loves picking up rocks and other treasures. Took a gamble getting this for her birthday and boy did that pay off big time. She loves all the rocks and the games she can play with them. Her mom had to go out and buy an organizer for the included rocks because they are her new treasures and needed to be housed better. Wish there was a small book to help identify each rock included as I was shown each one and asked “What’s this!?”

I have always LOVED National Geographic as a whole. I ENJOY buying their kits for me or as gifts 🎁. I highly recommend buying their products as they are FANTASTIC for any age.

Such an amazing kit. We have used this EVERY Tuesday and Thursday for our homeschool co-op days as we are in a 10 week unit on Rocks and Minerals. It has fun games that we have played. And so many different colored rocks for the kids to look at and feel. It is perfect for my classroom! 10 out of 10 in fun and design!! Highly recommend!!

A gift for my 8yo grandson. He LOVED IT! We all (3 adults & 2 kids) played several rounds of Bingo & spent a fair amount of time after the games, comparing colors, picking favorites & learning about them. I highly recommend this set!

Bought this as a gift for a granddaughter that loves rocks. She was very excited to get this and plays with it often with her friends.

Great for kids occupied

Great idea, fun games and a happy child. Some of the examples are not great, we're looking to buy a better blue calcite as the one included has poor colour. Luck of the draw I guess.

Really good collection of larger stones than most kits. With gaming/learning ideas. Just needs a full book to discuss all the stone types.
