Reliable sealant
Used J-B Weld 31310 clear RTV silicone to seal a shower door and fix a cracked plastic light cover. It adhered well to both glass and plastic, cured evenly, and held up to water without peeling. No strong odor, and easy to smooth out. Only complaint: the tube split near the bottom halfway through, which wasted some product. The sealant works great

Highly recommend
I bought this product because I needed a waterproof sealant that would bond well to a rubber surface. I wear waders for surf fishing and recently discovered I had a leak where the pants meet the boot and didn't want to have to order a new pair because of a small leak. I came to Amazon and looked at a few other products that basically advertise the same things but this one had the best reviews so I ordered it. I used a small amount with a paint brush on my waders and it covered the leak and bonded to the rubber material well. I am very impressed with its performance! I dries clear and dries pretty quickly. It does have a funny chemical odor, but that's to be expected when deal with silicone or epoxy.

The good, the bad and the sticky
Overall the product is great. The Good: It IS SAFE for aquarium usage for those wondering, and set timing is fairly accurate The Bad: This product SMELLS, it has a very very strong chemical smell ( Yes I know it is silicone and doesn't smell like roses) The Sticky: The Silicone is very sticky too be expected but the real sticky part is the fact that the tube that the silicone comes in is a metal material and as soon as you roll it or squeeze too hard the tube splits and silicone will go all over your hands, so I would wear gloves. So I will recommend this product as far as aquarium usage goes, the material of the tube is really what took the star away simply for the fact that I lost a decent amount of the product on my hands and gloves.

Adheres any material!
Great glue! Glued the rubber to my windshield wipers after ice ripped off the rubber of my new wipers. Was worried about a foam/silicone to metal connection but worked great.

It Exploded out the back end…
I went to go use it and it exploded out of the back end..I didn’t even apply that much pressure either. I was disappointed but then they gave me a replacement for it so changed the review to five stars. Thanks!

Hard to use
Not the most easy to use or get out of the tube... did its job though!

Sealants lasted over 18 years in the UK weather. So I know it works.
This is the best outdoor sealer I’ve ever used. I ran some CAT5 POE cables outside the house in the UK. I sealed the camera receptacle to the cable with this stuff. Eighteen years now in the UK elements and it’s still good. The sealant became a little cloudy after a decade, but no electrical/data connection was experienced. This is a replacement tube for the same brand I used then. If the sealer gets hard in the tube, but the tube is still pliable, poke a hole in the side. Squeeze out what you need, cover new hole with tape when done. Repeat until all useful product has been used. I always keep a spare tube when I open a fresh one.

This product is a great product for sealing leaks, bonding materials, or weatherproofing. I used it on a cracked window frame, and it held up perfectly against rain and wind. The clarity is excellent, and it doesn’t shrink after drying. Works on glass, metal, and plastic very handy to have around

As a silicone sealant it does an adequate job, and the tube style makes convenient for home repair use. I was able to patch up a small pipe leak with it, among some other repairs. It isn't particularly easy to spread smoothly, however, and tends to clump up. Curing time is reasonable. The included application spout is not very useful. It takes a bit of effort to get it working, and then it ends up full of solid silicone that needs to be removed before it can be used again. Very inconvenient and wasteful of product. The stuff has has a very strong acrid, vinegary smell to it, until it cures. You should probably be careful to keep adequate ventilation when using it. Wear disposable gloves, too, if you can, although that can make application even more awkward. I didn't notice when I ordered it that it had to come all the way from the UK, so delivery time was long. I would probably have searched harder for a more local choice if I had.

At first i used it with the nozzle but its hard to squish it out so I had to cut it from the second circle to make the hole bigger which worked, please do not force it through the smallest hole since Ive seen some comments complaining that it bursted open and made a mess. I would recommend you remove the nozzle when you are almost done and clean it properly by passing tissue through it, using some of that product leftover. While this might be messy and a bit wasteful it will prevent both the tube and the nozzle from drying up since the nozzle doesnt have a seal. Now i use it without without nozzle and it still works nice for areas that dont require precise application or tight areas and its an amazing adhesive, it says it dries in 1h but id recommend leaving it at least half a day, do the work at night and leave it overnight maybe. Ive used it to glue some shelfs in the kitchen and put spices and sauces which can be quite heavy, left milk and other heavy items to test the durability and its been 3 weeks holding all that weight, also used the glue to seal corners in the bathroom and its completely waterproof once dry. The next time u open the tube there will be a dried up crust on the top, if u squeeze a bit it should come out, i didnt throw it away and actually placed it back once im done using the product and this actually works as a second seal that prevents another dry crust. Overall amazing product.
