This book is not a biography in a strict sense but a photo-book of the Dalai Lama. If one is looking for some beautiful pictures related to Dalai Lama & other related historical events of that time then this book is for you. If you are truly looking for a biography of Dalai Lama you have to look elsewhere. Of course the author is a close companion of Dalai Lama but it seems that he chose to write a popular coffee table book instead. So you will no doubt find some beautiful reminiscences from the author’s first hand account but there’s nothing other than that. If one’s interested in Dalai Lama’s life reading his autobiography is still the best option.

Various obstacles arises before his holiness, how he overcome it & introduced new philosophy for entire world is very much interesting to read it.

I loved that the author had for most of his adult life access to HH Dalai Lama, this access has given birth to a wonderful book.

A wonderful book written by someone in his inner circle. Highly recommended.
