What age level is this set good for?

If your kid likes Legos, no matter what age, the kid will love this set. I wouldn't buy it for kids who put Legos in their mouth and could choke on the parts, but I would buy it for age 5 or 6+ and who love Legos. It's a pretty cool Lego set.

I would say 6 years old... I bought it for my 4 year old and he gets easily frustrated with this set! It falls apart/ breaks easily!

does bruce wayne transform into batman on the batcave

In a way yes. There is a Bruce Wayne Lego figure and a Batman Lego figure that you put inside the "elevator". Bruce Wayne stands on top and when you "send" him down, at the bottom the Batman figure appears.
