Shades iPod Classic 6G/7G Case, Skin - 80, 120, 160GB-2009 Model - Sunshine Yellow

I love the color my Shades skin turns my Silver 160 gb 7th generation iPod. It's sunshine yellow on a Silver iPod. On my 120 gb 6th generation Black Classic the color doesn't stand out as well, it makes it look Gold in color.The only point that really has to be made about the Shades case is that your click wheel has to be well and truly broken in before putting this case on. Example ... I put the Shades case on my brand new Silver iPod Classic and could not scroll with the click wheel at all. I then put the Shades case on my one year old Black Classic and it works like a dream.So it's very true that the click wheel becomes more responsive with use as is stated in the advertising and the wheel needs to be broken in before putting this case on your player.Getting the players in and out of this case isn't easy, especially with the tiny bit thicker 160 gb 7th generation. But the very snug fit is worth the effort in the end.This case is mostly for looks and scratch protection as it isn't going to do much good if you drop your iPod. I like it for home use as the player easily connects to my speaker dock with the case on and looks really good sitting there all bright and colorful.

This iPod case is OKAY, nothing too great. the actual color is not nearly as bright as the picture. I was sort of disappointed with that. This iPod skin does serve it's purpose though. It (pretty much) keeps my iPod from being scratched. Although, you have to take it off once in a while and clean the dirt (and whatever else gets stuck under the case) because that CAN scratch it. Another con is that it doesn't fit in my iPod dock great. I always have to peel the bottom up a bit to make it work. It works but its a bit annoying sometimes. So, overall, I would recommend this product. It gets the job done and protects your iPod from scratches, and minor falls.

Overall, this shades ipod case is great...it's slim like I hoped, the color was perfect, it protects the screen and it fits quite snugly. I only have a couple issues with it one is: is the click wheel is sometimes really touchy and doesn't work as well as it does without the case, but most days it works quite fine. My other issue is the white part that covers the click wheel and a couple other places (an edge and just outside the click wheel) has turned blue on the case and I am not sure how or why this happened but it does bother me slightly. Other then those two very small issues the case is exactly what I expected. :)

I purchased this (yellow)for my silver Classic iPod 160GB, it works great, covers and protects the entire iPod (with the exception of the charge and headphone jack holes),but is sensitive enough to allow total control, including the click wheel and it looks really nice.Unlike other any case or skin, it is very thin.negative's1. at first it has a wet look to it, but this disappears after some time2. it is difficult to remove at first but then again I found after a period of time the case came off easy to allow cleaning.All and all its still a great case and I would heartily recommend it.

This case is not difficult to put on or take off and though it makes the click wheel a little more difficult on occasion, it is worth it to have the iPod protected. It's the price you pay for having the click wheel protected and it is really not that bad. The hole for the hold button doesn't match up perfectly, but it is not a problem. And I love the color!

A plastic sleeve that should probably cost $2.00 at most. Hard to get in (I have a 160GB Classic, 7th G), and nearly impossible to get out. Does not completely seal the I-Pod (bottom is open), and offers as much protection as a piece of Saranwrap (ok, maybe like 3 pieces on top of each other. Horrible...spend your money elsewhere unless you MUST have a color). Other reviews ARE accurate that the exterior of the case is smooth. The screen is covered, but it kind of "Half seals" on it, like a poorly designed window cling, so you get this bubble effect look on your screen. Read my other reviews, I rarely blast a product, but this is just crap for the price.

This case didn't really turn my silver ipod as yellow at shown in the picture. That's not too big a deal, but it just wasn't what I was expecting. It fits the iPod well, but is impossible to take off without ripping it. I'd try a different product next time.
