Great idea for kids to do chores to get allowance or a treat and can help with being kind, doing chores and scaling back on sass. Pros: - Lots of different topics to choose from - With different topics you have lots of options to choose from for positive response tokens such as “Great Job”, “Awesome” etc. - There is a couple that you can write your own chore or behavior tab - Is a great size and the board seems pretty durable - The price is so perfect that we bought two, one for each child - Standard colors such as yellow, blue, green and red Cons: - The string that you can hang it from seems durable but could be a little thinker since the double board is pretty heavy Final thought: Like I said it’s a great way to introduce chores or work on behavior traits, functions like it should but wish there were more colors. Now that we know that it’s a product that the kids love to use we might switch over to a markable type of board

Perfect for my 2 and 4 yr old grandsons. Too heavy to hang but can be put on counter or table. Great teaching tool for personal responsibility.

My son has the older version of this chart and LOVES it. He is 4 and a half, and it has just started truly motivating him to work on chores and responsibilities (please and thank you, etc.). We actually bought this newer version for his friends who are twin boys turning 4. Their mom is delighted and thinks the charts are working already. The way these work is you choose the chores or responsibilities that need to be worked on. You place the magnets for those chores (with pictures for non -readers) along the left side of the chart. At the top of the chart are rows for the days of the week. Every day that your child completes a responsibility, you let them take a "way to go"(or a bunch of other phrases praising them) magnet and place it on the day and chore spot they completed. If you had multiple children you could bring out their competitive spirit with this, or...as I do, you can decide how many positive "chips" are needed each week for a "special treat" (walk around the mall, go to a new playground, etc). Or, if you like, you can let the chart praise be the reward in itself. My on really responds to the instant gratification of getting a praise magnet when he does something he is working on, and he also is starting to understand working toward long-term goals....which is kind of a new concept in his "now, now, now" world. I would definitely recommend this for your own children, or as a gift for children ages 4 and up.

I absolutely love having this for my 3 year old! We were struggling to get her to do her daily tasks but with this chart, she’s able to visibly see what she needs to have done by the end of the day and she enjoys getting to put a star up! We used the blank space at the top to put a treat for our daughter to work for. If she receives all her stars for the week, she gets a treat - works well for all of us! I gave it only 4 stars because some of the magnets are already coming apart and we haven’t even had it a week. Like some of the other reviews, the board is a little curved, but these little faults don’t bother me that much. I put up a photo of a magnet that’s falling apart. I don’t mind because I can fix it easily and I still love having the chart.

I purchased this for my toddler as a reward system (they love magnets) for helping do things around the house. They loved it. It has a lot of options for chores/activities/acts of kindness and even more options for magnets to showed that they were accomplished. There are magnets of many colors and the quality for the price is great. I will add, the board is quite heavy so if you plan to hang it, keep that in mind. If you don’t plan to hang it, it folds in half (keeps the magnets in the center) and stores compact!

We use this to help motivate our son both at home and at school. We assigned each task a point value. At the end of the day, we tally the points for the tasks he completed and write the total next to his name with a dry erase marker. On Saturday, he gets a payout (in fake paper money) of the amount of points he got for the week, and we have a list of activities or items he can “buy” with his point money (eg. movie night, a special treat, dinner out, etc.). Items on the list are assigned different amounts so he can save up point money for a big item, or spend his points weekly on smaller items. We use “hands to ourselves” and “show respect” for school behavior and his teacher reports back if he used the accommodations they provide versus acting out in class. This system has helped give him positive motivation to succeed and learn new self regulation skills at school and at home. As a bonus it also starts the conversation around money management and furthers his math skills. If there is a particular behavior that needs more work, assign it more points for greater motivation. I used one of the blank pieces include for “get ready for school with no tears” and gave it the highest point value of all his daily tasks and it helps him to get ready in the mornings and stay on task, and motivate him when he doesn’t want to go to school. For parents who are navigating adhd for the first time without any idea what to do, ideas like this can really help. It gets easier!

Great easy to use product that is fun and safe for kids to use. Great quality and is easily able to fit in a smaller space

I really like this item. It’s a lot better than the other calendar item from Melissa and Doug, which I think has way too many things going on at once and far too many magnets. It has a lot of good suggestions for behaviors and chores, and I love that it can grow with your child. It has things as simple as brushing your teeth and sharing, all the way to putting your clothes in the wash and loading the dishwasher. It’s perfect for my five-year-old and will probably be useful for several years. One thing to Note is that there are only seven chores/behaviors per week, so we had to really think about what was most important to us. It also has fill in the blank magnets, which I think is pretty nice. I love that this is done on magnetic whiteboard’s as well. We do a commission system with our child, so it’s easy to keep up with how much she has earned on the lower whiteboard. I only wish that it had come with drawstring bags to keep the magnets that haven’t been used or are in rotation inside of. I don’t like cluttering up the lower board with unused magnets, but that is an option. Overall, I would recommend this product! It’s effective, simple, and my daughter gets a big kick out of picking out her positive result magnets.

Awesome buy my child loves to get stars as incentives it’s better than buying them chocolates or punishing them actually works .reducing stars for not following responsibilities is symbolic punishment n u don’t feel guilty for being too harsh on kids plus children gets motivated to perform well so self motivation is achieved by kids on their own performance !!!!five stars must have recommend to buy it in special discounts sale time to get maximum discount.

I was a little disappointed as the picture showed the blue one which is the one i wanted however i received the green one. With the blue one on the reward magnets it says bravo, you did it, super which i like however the green one on the rewards there are pictures of a football, a flower a dog, balloons, teddy and a swimmer. The product is good though but i feel pictured of a dog and football don't make sense when you are trying to explain to a 3yr old, you want to say if you do this you get a star or a well done not a football or dog, it could be a magnet for the actual reward at the end to say if you have 5 stars then ill get you a football or teddy but there is nowhere on the chart for that so im just confused, just would have been better with just stars or words like well done.

Kids have fun putting the magnets and motivate them to be on their best behavior. Link this to some rewards each week and it more or less works.
