Review: The nrf24 boards i like. the adapter connctor i don't. they all have it too..hidden secrets inside - i have had these for some time. they do work. every one i didn't break, and I needed 2 pairs 1 for code / hardware testing / 1 for mech testing. I have not really put them though a thorough test regimen as I was inventing stuff and smoked at least 1 of the 2 i had... and I code like a person that has never had a coding class(i didn't) but they do work when you connect them correctly and your code works. I highly recommend not using the 3v supply from arduino esp. on the imposter boards with china usb interface that needs a driver and reprogrammed before you can use them (that's not a rant, this is a rant, just kidding...) and put a cap on the power in on the board. DO NOT power with 5vdc without the adapter. the data pins on the adapter is one of the problems my project had. I hard wired direct and replaced main reg on uno with solid 3.3 and ran everything at 3.3v. uno / nano must use 328P for this(3.3v)to work. its a hungry little beast. use the cap. skeptical of the data through the adapter. there is a foot print for a SMD style connector under the SMA many don't know about... Good luck
Review: Works Great, But you have to use a separate 5v power supply !!! - I used it with teensy 4.1 I was having all kinds of problems with it until I used a separate 5v power supply. ### ⭐ Swap M1 and M0
*by S***O on January 3, 2025*

UPDATE: Spoke too soon - yeah, they work but the range and reliability is horrible - very frustrating. They work great for a while and then just stop (yes, checked for free frequencies - also using dedicated 3.3v supply and tried using power modules too). I really wanted these to work - the modules without these external antennas work ok for me, but was really hoping these would give me even more reliability. Turns out I was better off before switching. ***************** Guess I did pretty well compared to many. All three of my power modules worked and two of the three rf24 boards worked without caps. The third wouldn’t transmit or receive AT ALL until I added the 10uf cap across the power pins, but then seemed to work great. Note that (at least on my power modules) the M1 and M0 are labeled the reverse of what I think they should be. So if you are having trouble getting the board to even initialize then might try swapping these.
