I don't want to ruin the surprise, but after you complete the puzzle, there are further instructions that make something REALLY cool happen.

Can the puzzle be completed w/o using the puzzle image? Or, do you need the image or directions to complete or even comprehend the "cool surprises?"

You can absolutely solve the puzzle without the image. We do recommend using the image to double check before opening the envelope with the ending surprise though!
