Finally, a great matcha
When you cannot go to Japan, Japan comes to you. This very smooth, silky and delicate matcha became a great addition to my morning routine. I’ve never imagined a pinch of green tea powder mixed with hot water could pack that much energy to keep you going the whole day. I’ve tried other green tea matchas before but always ended with a headache or an after taste. Not the case with this one, so it was definitely a nice surprise.

Very high end matcha.
The quality difference between this and most matcha I've gotten off Amazon is drastic. The matcha smells like fresh young tea. I mean if you ever get to go to a tea plantation and they bring out the first harvest tea, this is that smell. It was just like the first spring harvest imperial grade tea I experienced in Hangzhou. Different type of tea, but the difference in scent from young spring buds to later harvest tea from the prior season of much more mature tea leaves is distinct.I tried lining up 4 matcha teas I have with this and all of the bitter baking and shake tea powders smelt the same. The only different one I picked out was the Teavana Imperial Matcha that you can't get anymore and that was because of the age of the tea itself. Its color and scent had faded. But this is very much on par with what that was when it was fresh. Though sadly not at the $35 for 2.8oz anymore. So there is no expiration date, but the color and flavor will fade over time so enjoy this within 1-2 years as long as you keep it in a cool dry dark place in the tin it will hold up nicely. Though after 2 years it will still be very useable but might be more suited for mixing into food or drink to flavor with matcha where the dulling green and aging flavor won't be noticed as much. You have to really over use this to get a tea drinker to find any bitterness in it. It is almost smooth on the tongue. Yes I tried it as straight powder and first hit was a creamy flavor of tea that had a very mild bitterness. I got into the habit of eating tea leaves straight to taste the concentrated bitterness to judge how bitter a tea would be without needing to brew it. So with the recommended 1/2 to 1 tsp to 2oz of hot water (very shy of boiling, don't boil it) depending on your preference it is full of flavor with very little bitterness for most drinkers to enjoy. No sugar or anything additional needed to enjoy it. Just like the Teavana tea this froths up very nicely when whisked up and it is a satisfying and energizing drink. It's a lot of tea in a small sip so it is almost on par (90%-ish) with a cup of coffee, but in 2 oz instead of 8oz of coffee. Now I wouldn't recommend this for shakes, ice cream, bakes goods or as an ingredient in general. Because the other ingredients will cut or mask the bitterness of lesser matcha powders and leave the stronger tea flavor for the consumer to enjoy. But if you were going to dust it onto a cake or truffles or something where you would use cocoa powder. Use this instead of baking matcha. The natural sweetness and lack of outright bitterness will give a much better initial hit of matcha than a matcha that would be an ingredient where it relies on fats and sugars to cut the bitterness. Plus the bright vibrant green will be very appealing.

Good well rounded matcha -- great for drinking straight or in lattes
#organic, #madeinJapanI make matcha every morning and drink matcha two ways, in hot water and whisked with my chasen and the second way is to mix it directly with milk to make a matcha latte. I don't add sugar so the taste of the matcha really has to shine. I've tried 20+ brands of matcha and this one is extremely well balanced. The color of this was vibrant deep green color which is associated with good quality matcha. The smell was fresh and earthy.WATER mixed with Chasen (whisked at 170F)This matcha was very good. There was almost no bitterness and a hint of umami which isn't always found in all matcha's. If you don't like astringent tea's this one has just a touch. Personally I prefer a little more astringent mouth feel but this is my preference. The tea is actually quite well rounded being balanced in flavor and overall experience.MILK latte mixed with frotherMany of the delicate flavors of matcha are lost so when you get some premium matcha's sometimes the flavor can be lost. This matcha did equally well with water as it did in a latte. The matcha flavor was bold enough to shine through the milk and really give you that quintessential matcha flavor.Overall I would recommend this matcha as an excellent ceremonial grade matcha to drink in both water and lattes. This matcha is balanced in flavor enough to be used alone in water yet bold enough to hold it's own in a latte. It's a bit pricey to be used in cooking but I'd venture to say it probably would do well with that application too.As with all matcha preparations, make sure you do not exceed 175F when preparing your matcha as it can destroy the delicate flavors and make even the best matcha bitter.Review For:Ceremonial Matcha Infused by HelloBio | USDA Organic Superior Ceremonial Matcha | Authentic Japanese Green Tea Powder | 1st Harvest | 1.06oz Tin

Nice tasting matcha
For the last few years, I’ve used a matcha from a different company, but this one is also tasty. It froths well when I make matcha lattes with soy or almond milk, and has a pleasant taste.

Very smooth!
I love how incredibly mild and smooth this is! It’s probably the first matcha to not make me feel queasy, even when I over-do it. I still don’t know exactly why I have that reaction but I know I’m not alone there. So if you’re like me, this is a safe one. It’s a tiny tin but a little can a long way. I have very much enjoyed this delightful, easy to blend matcha and would definitely get this again.
