INNO is The Best Surfboard Rack Ever
Quite simply, the best surfboard rack I have ever owned. I utilized the straps for years. Straps always needed adjusting, were prone to wind noise at highway speeds & took extra minutes to install if doing so alone. The INNO is fantastic: easy to install on the factory stock rack crossbars of my 2006 Toyota FJ; carries three boards (and I have, many times, driven 3-6 hrs with three longboards up there with no issues); rapid ease of use; locking straps (I have left the boards on the rack overnight when at hotels on more occasions than I can count); & truly one-person load / unload of boards.A buddy of mine turned me on to the INNO, on his BMW. Without question, worth every penny for this superb, top-quality product.

Amazing rack once it's on the car. A bit annoying to attach to the roof rack.
This rack is super easy to use once it's on the rack. Locking mechanism works great. I've left my board on the car overnight in SF (but in nice neighborhoods). However, there are a few really annoying flaws.First off, the little rubber pieces that touch your roof rack can fall off easily. The moment I took it out of the package one fell off. I have since superglued them so they don't fall, but still one fell again. If those fall off the rack isn't very even and may damage the roof rack, so it's unacceptable that those aren't securely glued on from the factory.Secondly, it's kinda annoying to take on and off the roof rack. Since I don't leave it on forever, I've gotten a little better at it, but mostly because of the rubber pieces falling off I have to be very careful.

Better than I expected
== Update after much usage ===After using this for a while I like it even more. I timed it: It take 25 seconds to pull the board from my garage and get it loaded onto the rack. It takes 18 seconds to take it off the rack and put it away.I don't even bother putting my short board in my car any more. It's easier to just throw it on the rack.I've taken the rack off for a couple of road trips and it's about 2 minutes to put it back on the car. Some of the best money I've ever spent.== Original review ==* Easily mounted to my factory bars in a few minutes. Same mount as the ski rack I have from the same manufacturer. Way better than the Thule mount on my bike rack. Once it's set up there's no threading of anything. Just release a latch and it pops right off or back on. Simple, fast and secure. I'd like to buy a beer for the engineer who designed it.* Super simple usage. Throw the boards up there. Attach the loop. Crank it down.* Holds the boards more securely than straps and pads that I used before. There's no risk of the boards sliding side to side so you don't really have to crank down so hard on the boards. With the straps I always felt like I had to pull them super tight to keep my longboard from moving.* No more throwing straps over the car and running in circles.* I carry a big thick long board and a fun board. It would hold another board easily.* BONUS: Since the boards sit a bit higher off of the rails you gain a little more clearance if you have a tailgate. The tailgate of my FX 35 now goes up a bit more before hitting the board. This thing took the biggest pain about surfing and made it simple. Easily worth the money. Buy one.

These are great if you want a bit of security for your boards. It would still be easy to cut the cables with wire cutters, but having to do that does provide a level of theft deterrence. They are very easy to install, and remain secure. I've used them for over two years and have carried two long boards (one 9-2, the other 10-0) with absolutely no problems, even at very high interstate speeds. They prove most convenient if you load your boards from the rear, with fins to the rear; this way, you never have to detach the steel cables from the crane. Normally, it's advisable to load the boards fins forward so they catch the straps in the event the straps loosen. I'm never concerned about that happening with this product because the ratchet allows you to get the straps/crane super tight. I use day bags only and have had no problems at all with this damaging my boards. I highly recommend these racks.

Great Surfboard Racks
One thing I hate most about surfing is scrambling around my Highlander trying to get the board strapped on the roof especially after a long surf session. With a long board I have to use the racks. Thule makes a decent surf solution but still wasn't exactly what I'm looking for. The Inno mount is a pretty great product. Easy to install and fits pretty well on my Highlander stock cross bars. It is so easy to get your board in and out of the rack and beats using straps any day. Also I frequently bring my board to work for a quick after work session and know I don't have to worry about my board getting stolen at all. As the other reviewers state the one small downside is you will hear some noise because its pretty tall but it doesn't bother me much. The greatest feature about the racks is the arm that keeps the strap up so you never have to get to the top of your vehicle. Just unlock the 2 locks, slide the board in from the back, crank them both down, lock and you're done. This saves me 5 minutes in and out of the water and for that alone the racks are worth it.

Surfs Up with this Rack
I didn't know what to expect with this rack because I had never heard of the manufacturer before. It arrived in the mail promptly, thank you Amazon. The rack itself is solid and sturdy and appears well made. The attachments to my OEM crossbars (Nissan Murano) were secure. However I could not get the rack to sit perfectly square on the bars because of a slight tilt to the crossbars themselves. This worried me initially but as soon as the racks were installed, the surfboards laid across with enough direct contact to the rubberized surfaces of the rack to sit very securely. There did not appear to be any excess stress put on the boards. The ratcheting action to pull down the straps was incredibly easy and intuitive to use. The built in locking system is simple and convenient. Overall this unit has made it easy, quick and simple to get your boards on and get surfing.

Très solide et facile à installer
Très bien, cependant j'aurais souhaité pouvoir ajuster la largeur du support à ma planche
