Our 8 year old wanted a diamond digger set so we purchased this one. He has had so many over the years so we needed something a little different. In the process of discovering all 12 gemstones he also learned that we have gemstones and why! They are smallish prices but most are questionable as to weather they are real stones or not. They look very clear like tinted pieces of glass or resin. The experience is what matters but my son has seen the real stones and Knowe the difference. He literally yelled at one point "Mom! I found a piece of glass!" Because he knew h d already found the diamond.
