This was an amazing puzzle from start to finish and a fantastic artistic experience. Best approach if this is your first time with a puzzle from this company is skip reading and looking at the images of the spoilers and just do the puzzle, and then experience the surprise ending for yourself. I’ve never seen anything quite like it in a puzzle before. No spoilers in this review.The puzzle itself is at the difficult level, and with a large variety of shapes and sizes and mixed colors that could frustrate some sorting strategies. The pieces are quality made and the illustrations and detail are rich and colorful. Many of the pieces have shapes that corresponds to the artwork on the puzzle piece itself which contributes to the enjoyment of the puzzle.Once completed, there is a secret envelope to open, and the magic of this puzzle continues. If you enjoy puzzles, you won’t want to miss out on this experience!

I like the puzzles from the Magic Puzzle Company. The images have plenty of detail, and some of the pieces (but not too many) have challenging shapes. The design is extremely clever, and also, the bags holding the pieces are environmentally friendly; they're paper, not plastic.The first thing I noticed was that there seemed to be far too many edge pieces, which makes it more difficult to work the puzzle by creating an "edge-frame" to fill in. But there's a reason for that. A word of advice (or caution) is needed, but it would be a SPOILER to explain the problem, so if you don't want the surprise spoiled, please stop reading right now!Still here? Okay. This is a puzzle within a puzzle. When you've finished it, you haven't yet finished it. There's a second envelope in the box containing additional pieces. In order to make a gap in the center of the puzzle to fit those pieces in, you have to swap the places of two large chunks, moving the chunk on the lower right to the lower left and vice versa. Now here's my advice: This puzzle will fit on a 22x30 inch jigsaw puzzle board (which I own), but do not assemble it on a board of that size! Assemble it on a nice big table. In order to swap the positions of those two chunks (which together make up more than half of the puzzle), you have to slide them toward you. And you can't do that on a 22x30 inch board without their falling off the edge. I tried sliding empty manila file folders under the chunks to hold them, but that didn't work very well. In the end, I had to extract some pieces from the larger chunk and move them over to the other side by hand.Was it worth it? Yes. Was it convenient? No. That's not the fault of the Magic Puzzle Company. The completed puzzle is indeed 28x21 inches, as it says on the box. Just assemble it on a large enough table (say 30x30) and you'll be fine.

This puzzle has been ranked as one of our family's favorite puzzles ever. The puzzle was so fun to put together as each piece is unique. It was a challenge but not so difficult as some other 1000 piece puzzles with a lot of pieces the same color. It was enjoyed by the six year old to the 65 year old. The surprise at the end was great. I am online looking for my next puzzle from the Magic Puzzle Co.

We love these puzzles! We like finding the fun shaped pieces and the cute little images. The twist at the end is fun, along with the scavenger hunt! We snag them whenever we see a deal. The quality of the puzzle is amazing, the pieces are nice and thick

The thought behind these puzzles is insane. Having two puzzle pictures is next level. The artistry is amazing, and they are so fun to do.

I love these Magic Puzzles. The shapes of the puzzle pieces are so fun, they're not particularly hard but they're entertaining, and there's a great twist at the end. The artwork is great and they're all different!

Very cool puzzle that really made me work! I usually don't use any picture either in or on the box. But I couldn't have finished this and I had to use the picture to figure out how the 4 pieces went.Unfortunately I didn't open the pack that says don't open until complete. I had already glued it together so I can't assemble the last arrangement 😢 so don't use glue until you open that pack!

Don't buy this if you aren't prepared for your puzzle standards to shoot through the roof afterward. This is a seriously thoughtful, imaginative, beautiful puzzle and I'm looking forward to putting it together again in the near future.Let's start with what makes this puzzle different from the other puzzles we've done. Usually, a puzzle piece is a container holding a fragment of a design you then connect to other containers to complete a picture. This is what we're used to.THIS Puzzle, on the other hand, is different in that the puzzle and the picture both link to a story. The pieces aren't containers; rather, they are tiny bits of a story you're sharing with a specific character. Assembling the puzzle is the largest step to telling that story, but it isn't the ONLY step. Because of this, the interactivity offered by the puzzle goes even deeper than what your average puzzle offers!Contents and packaging: I sooooo appreciated the inclusion of TWO puzzle posters as opposed to one. Not only did it make for a great sharing; now I can frame one of the posters and keep the second in the box for next time.Everything is packaged up neatly, with reusable bags for the puzzle pieces and well-labeled surprises.Now, onto assembly: I found the tag of 1000 pieces to be pretty intimidating at first, but it was actually a breeze to assemble. Every piece is uniquely shaped and no two regions are alike in color or texture. A tree in the middle-right section of the puzzle will be vastly different from a tree in the middle-left section. That really helped when putting everything together! I notoriously end up with a few pieces fitting in the wrong place whenever I puzzle, but that did not happen ONCE with this one.There are plenty of interesting challenges to encounter when assembling the puzzle (like false-edge pieces) but we never felt frustrated or stuck. Every puzzling session it took to complete it left us feeling rewarded for our efforts, with little bits of story unfolding from every completed scene.My ONLY issue with this puzzle was that the pieces fit a little loose. It made doing some stuff near the end a challenge and we had to do some emergency reassembly at points. Honestly, not at all worth docking a star from what is easily a 10 star puzzle.Final Thoughts/Note to the PublishersDEFINITELY use Boya Sun's artwork in your next series of puzzles. Holy cow, the art is phenomenal. I need more Boya Sun artwork in my life from this point on. (Warning though: don't visit Boya Sun's portfolio if you haven't finished the puzzle, you may find spoilers! but definitely visit when you're done because wow! What a fantastic artist.)We were so charmed by the characters presented in the puzzle that we'd love to see another puzzle following their adventures. Such an imaginative cast.Keep being awesome. We'll be buying the next two puzzles in the series, but we have a feeling this one was the best one of the bunch! I hope to see more vibrant, adventurous puzzles from this company in the future.

Easily my favourite jigsaw puzzle I've done.The art was entertaining to look at and follow the story.The quality of the bits I found were even better than the top standard of ravensburger.The odd shaped and extra edge bits made it more fun hunting for the right bit.The magic twist at the end was also a delight. Easily the best puzzle I've done I went and bought a 3 pack from the same company after.

It’s my first puzzle from the magic puzzle company, and oh boy I am impressed by the amount of details in the graphics. Had a lot of fun playing it, and just ordered my second puzzle from them. Just wish the pieces will stick together more.

The puzzle was fun and colorful. The unique pieces and hidden object finding was a treat, and then the secret element brought it to the next level!We had a minor issue with our box and it was righted immediately by the Magic Puzzle Company, which made this definitely worth the extra price compared to other puzzles.The only con was that the pieces fit together a little loosely which makes it rather difficult to build sections and then try to move them into place... Its super hard to lift and shift, but with some crafty ideas and kitchen spatulas we were able to work around this.
