Tote Purses

I wanted a high quality leather purse, but I didn't want the price. I searched for weeks, all over, in store and online. This bag is the perfect balance of quality, fashion and price. My favorite things- Size- My biggest concern was the size. I'm a short, petite female and I didn't want to have a bag that dwarfed me or looked like a suitcase. I compared measurements to everything, lol. In many reviewers pics, this looks huge, but it isn't. I ordered the large, and it is perfect heigth and width for me. Quality- this bag is well made in everyway. The stitching is well done and strong, the zippers are smooth, the hardware is beautiful and sturdy. The bottom has the four studs to prevent scratching and wear. The handles and strap are durable and soft. Interior- I love organization, not just a huge hole to dump things in. There are two main compartments, one slightly larger, and they are divided by a zippered compartment that goes al the way to the bottom. There is a zippered pocket on one side, and two open pockets on the other. So much storage and convenient access for cell phone or glasses etc. The interior is a beautiful brown satin that adds to the beauty of the purse. Exterior- this is genuine leather and smells amazing!! It is between a soft and hard leather and has texture to the surface. Mine isn't glossy as it appears in other reviews pics. Mine is more of a pumpkin color, tho the description said Sorrell. It doesn't have the beautiful dimensions as seen in the ad, but it is still a beautiful purse/bag. I took pics in diff lighting to try to show the color. This bag also stands up on its on with items inside. When fully empty it will slouch because of the weight of the handles. Which imo, is a good thing, it tells me they are well made. Don't hesitate to buy this!!! I did all the research for you!! I'm in love with mine!!

I am delighted with this purse; it’s well made, classy looking, real leather, and the straps are leather as well which is holding up really well so far. There are great little additional details to this purse; the nicest of which is the metal posts on the bottom that keep the bag from scraping on surfaces. Love this and expect to be using it for a long time. Holds all my stuff perfectly…not too big and not too small. Perfect! Finally!!!!

This bag was shipped quickly, and mostly lived up to what I expected. I had to give it 4 stars for craftsmanship because one of the interior compartments is already losing it's stitching. It's the pocket for the cellphone. That said, the rest of the interior is finished beautifully. The lining is a nice, heavy, satiny brown fabric that seems sturdy - like it will last for a long time. There are plenty of compartments. I keep my entire life in my purse, and I had lots of space left over. One thing I haven't done yet is to see if my laptop will fit in here. I don't imagine that I will use this bag for that though. The center pocket is not padded. That is one thing to keep in mind. The exterior of this bag is beautiful. It is this nice , shiny, pebbled leather. All of the fittings on this bag are gold colored. Up to and including the "feet" on the bottom of this bag. I don't notice any issues with the stitching on the outside of the bag. Everything seems to be stitched down tight. There are no loose threads. The bag's a bit heavy, but I don't mind that. Maybe if I were a small person. I'm not, though. Very impressed with the style and quality offered by this affordable bag. I have been lusting after a Frye tote for a long time that is similar in style, but I can't afford it. This one I could, and I am so happy I bought it!

I love the leather and the cloth interior. I'm not sure if it's natural or synthetic fiber cloth, but it isn't that cheap "parachute" plastic "cloth" that was common a few years ago, so I suspect it will last a while. Some have mentioned that the stitching on the phone pocket(s) hasn't held up for them and I can see why. Though they are roomy enough the stiff trim keeps them folded to one side, meaning you have to pull at that side to open it up. As soon as I got the purse I did as suggested and used a leather conditioner on it (oooh, so soft now). I may use it on the pocket trim to get them to soften & relax. Even though I got the smaller of the two sizes the purse is still larger, and heavier, than I hoped. I figured it might be, and I'm getting on in years so my strength is not what it was. For that I'm grateful for the cross-body strap. It's a little long for me as it came so I'll have to shorten it. The interior pocket design is exactly like I prefer, which is why I risked getting an over-sized purse. I wanted 2 large pockets, a middle divisor that had a zippered pocket in it, as well as a small zipper pocket in the side purse lining. I don't much care for outside pockets so I'm glad not to have them. The only thing I kind of don't like is the zipper closure for the whole purse. First, my zipper keeps getting stuck in the open position - it unzips too far and I have trouble getting it to zip closed again. I would prefer a different type of closing system, one that's faster to open and close, like a snap, clip, or magnetic closure. Clip is stronger and easier than a snap, and magnets tend to either undo from being too weak or are so strong they are hard to open. But at least a zipper is very secure. I'll have to put in my own zipper stop by running several stitches around and around the zipper to stop it from unzipping too far. I've had to do it for plenty of pants! Otherwise, it's a very sturdy seeming purse and should last several years of my light use.
