No PTFE and no enamel. Its seasoned by having vegetable oil baked onto it. It will not be as non stick as a modern pan to start with but will improve with proper use and care. **Q: what is the little shaped black hard plastic part that comes with the pan with overmont on it** A: It's for scraping anything that is stuck to the pan when cleaning. You will find the more you use the pans and follow the upkeep regime the less you need the scraper. **Q: Can you be used on a bbq** A: I would have thought so. They are sturdy, quite weighty, easy to clean ONCE you have season them. The silicone handle does not feel secure at all.
