Tyche Professional Conditioning Heat Cap TC-1

Works well for hot oil treatments and scalp treatments. Heats up quickly.

My last electric heat cap I had for over 20 years and was surprised at how hard it was to find a new one. I didn't want to order online because I was afraid the bonnet may be too small (big head with lots of hair) but I could not find one at any of the professional or consumer beauty supplies. Once again Amazon came through for me! This works very well, it fits my head great, the heat settings are accurate and it has a very sleek look. I just hope it has the longevity of my last heat cap!

I wasn't completely sold on the style and wondered how it would work when placed on the head. Works like a dream . Your entire head heats up. Works quickly. Has a very long cord so I'm not just stuck in one spot while I am using it. Would recommend this to absolutely everyone. A+

This cap does not heat up at the back. It essentially doubles my conditioning time as I have to condition the front then put the front of the cap at the back of my head to get some heat. Even with a conditioning cap the heat does not distribute! After 30 mins the front of my head is warm and the back is completely cool. Also, when on the highest setting this product heats to its max temp ( barely warm) then turns off ( I guess this is a safety feature?). I then have to switch it off and on for the cap to heat up again. You definitely get what you pay for. I've searched long and hard and this is one of few products like this still available yet the quality is absolutely POOR but it can get the job done with a little patience.

So since purchasing this heat cap I've used it twice and I must say I'm satisfied. I use it too deep condition my hair. My hair comes out just as good as when I go to the salon. The heat is just right when set on high. I don't feel enough heat when it's any lower. My only complaint is the design of the power control. I wish the control pad was a little lower down the cord so that it doesn't poke into my back. To alleviate this I kinda just let it off to the side of my shoulder. The cord though is long enough that you can move freely while sitting in a chair. It doesn't take too long to heat up. Once i complete washing my hair I just turn it on and let it warm up while I apply my deep conditioning cream. This is great for that at home salon feel.

So far so good. The cap warms very quickly and nice and hot especially on the high setting. I've tried others including Gold n hot brand and Millard heating cap which both barely got warm on the highest setting. Tyche heat cap has won hands down. I haven't actually formally used the cap yet to do a treatment but based on the initial check, it should be fine...I will update there view once I have tried it a couple times to see if it holds up etc. Get you one !

This is so incredibly soothing. I've tried my hardest not to use this every night with no success. This is so simple, effective and affordable. This is also a Nicka K product. Which, if anyone is familiar with any of their products you know the amount of quality their products contain for hardly any money at all. The settings never go too high and my hair always takes really well to the conditioners and hot oil treatments after shooting under this cap. This is a steal!

This item is toxic. Upon opening it and removing it from the packaging younare inundated with a harsh, toxic chemical that burns the eyes, impedes breathing and caused nausea and vomiting. There is a warning label on the power cord indicating that it is made with lead. Perhaps that is the chemical. Whatever it is it is extremely bad for you. Even after wiping down the interior and exterior of the product, the toxic chemical remained.Determined to deep condition my hair, I still used the product despite the physical symptoms it induced. Unfortunately, it did not work probably. It spontaneously shut off after a few minutes of use. I had to turn it off and then on again in order to get it to power up. I had to do this several times in order to deep condition my hair for a total of 30 minutes.The toxic chemicals alone are reason enough not to purchase this product. The fact that it also malfunctions puts the nail in the coffin.
