I purchased this to replace the box grater I have, which was my grandmother's and probably as old as I am. My old one just wasn't cutting it, both literally and figuratively. So I shopped around. About 5 years ago I bought a cheap one, it didn't work as well as Grandma's so I got rid of it and went back to the old one. This one works great ( or should I say grate). I have grated cheese and potatoes and used the slicer on the side. It is solid, not flimsy or bendable. It cleans up easily, plus it has the protection glove and a container to grate into that includes a lid. I probably won't use the container to grate things into because, I still end up with cheese on the outside, but it could be real handy.

Love the coating, makes clean up quick and really easy if you wash right away.

I wanted a grater with medium sized holes to make carrot slaw. After trying the rotary one and one other I found this one. It grates large, medium and the very small like for lemon zest or garlic. Slices too but I haven’t used that side yet. I’d buy this again for sure!

The grater itself is of good quality and very sharp. I have used it to grate everything from cheese to veggies like potatoes and carrots. Customer service also provided me with a 'free gift' I am yet to receive, but I think that's thoughtful. They asked if I had any feedback, and my only negative experience with this grater is that I cannot get the glove to stay on and not just come off while grating (The material of the glove is easy to snag on the sharp grater), so I use it without the glove. This resulted in a few knicks on my fingers and some deep cuts.

i'm 66; I've had many graters over the years. I've had many grated knuckles, too. This grater, with storage box is THE best ever invented.

Updated 3/3/22: See original review on 2/28/22 for more details. I. Still have not had the opportunity to actually use this grater. However after my initial 3-star review on 2/28, seller reached out to me and assured me of the following:1. The grater is indeed dishwasher safe. Only the graters with the paint coated stainless steel are not dishwasher safe;2. The plastic bits that clip to the grater have been upgraded to a thicker quality and thus that i can be assured of safety and3. To write to them via amazon if I had any future issues with the graterI feel much better about the purchase now after seeing the sellers response. The seller actually cares, understands and values customer feedback, follows thru by communicating in a timely manner and is willing to reasonably stand behind their product. Happy with customer support and am looking forward to using the grater2/28/22: Just received the item today, so this is just an initial overview/opinion, but I had to write the review because for me the cons are too big to look beyond. Review is about the blue colored handle box grader…Pros:1. Blades seem sharp2. Included gloves fit inside the container, which fits inside the grater, when the container turned upside down3. Looks niceCons1. Box grater is not dishwasher safe as described under the ‘product info’ section nor is it ‘easy to clean’ as mentioned under item description. The mfg packaging clearly says it is not dishwasher safe and to clean it you have to use soft material cleaning brush/sponge. This was a big reason I had purchased this product2. The handle grip is metal but the body of the grip is attached to is plastic, which is attached to the metal grater by snapping on plastic bits into the metal frame. With accidental extra pressure (for leverage or stability) on the grip, I can foresee the plastic snap ons bits wearing out or breaking easily, leaving room open for some serious physical damage to you hands and a trip to your local emergency room.Do not recommend buying it. East to clean and use, a little bit higher in price but I feel like the quality of it gives that justice. Sharp, and love my container that clips to the bottom for easy storage for my cheese in the fridge
