These pearls cooked up beautifully with a lovely smooth and slightly chewy texture that worked perfectly in a pudding. They kept their shape well during cooking and didn’t turn mushy, which made the end result feel much more satisfying. I like that they are completely natural and free from anything unnecessary, giving a clean taste that lets other ingredients shine. They absorb flavour really well, so whether it’s coconut milk, sweetened syrup or fruit purée, the result is always delicious. The pack is generous enough to make several batches, making it great value for anyone who enjoys making traditional desserts at home.

The sago pearls makes this yummy baked sago pudding. Cook time is easy to handle to make al dente sago in preparation to mix with custard sauce for baked sago pudding. Love the texture of it and price is reasonable.

Tried Sago for the first time and the product was not bad. Good to make some amazing recipes.

After a few trial and error, I finally got the cooking right. Here's what I learner: 1. Start stirring from the moment you pour it into the water. Missed this step and ended up with a goeeeyyyy substance and no pearls. 2. You only need to boil at medium heat for 5-8 minutes, then cover and leave it for another 10 to finish cooking (pearls become transparent) 3. Rinse in cold water, like cold water, not room temperature water or it continues cooking and sticks together. So, was this a good product, I think so. I mean, it was difficult the first day but by the second day, after leaving it in the fridge, my mango Sago was absolutely delicious and the pearls were not running away from being chewed. I made another batch and finally decided to write this review.

Sago is hard for me to cook and this one is no different. Great value for money although I wish there was more information in terms of quality and where it came from on the actual package itself. Has a bit of a chemical smell still so I wish they talked more about the production process and origin more...?

Brilliant and easy to cook

Ich habe die Sago-Perlen jetzt mehrfach verwendet, unter anderem für Desserts und als Einlage in süßen Speisen. Die Perlen haben eine gleichmäßige Größe und lassen sich gut verarbeiten. Beim Kochen werden sie schön glasig, ohne zu zerfallen oder matschig zu werden. Der Geschmack ist neutral, was sie sehr vielseitig einsetzbar macht. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass sie glutenfrei und vegan sind – ideal auch für Menschen mit entsprechenden Unverträglichkeiten. Die Verpackung war ordentlich verschlossen und der Inhalt wirkte frisch und sauber. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Man sollte sich an die empfohlene Kochzeit halten und zwischendurch umrühren, dann gelingt das Ergebnis problemlos. Insgesamt ein solides Produkt, das ich für Desserts, Puddings oder ähnliche Gerichte gut empfehlen kann.
