Review: Great for intricate hand sawing of some stone slabs. - Quite thin but effective cutting softer to medium stone materials. I do lapidary and needed to do more intricate Freeform cuts on some stone slabs to make preforms before the finishing grinding process. I cut the diamond wire to lengths that fit my jewelers saw and sawed away to create various shapes on softer stones. Agates are much harder and would take a lot of work by hand sawing so I’d reccomend a powered trim saw on those. The diamond wire does wear but preformed well for me. It took a while, and definitely left my arm feeling tired, but I was very impressed that it was able to cut through it. I had a couple of wire breaks, I think I went through about four pieces, maybe two feet of wire to complete my job.
