Boxlood WiFi Smart Outdoor Flood Lights 20 Watt (Google/Alexa Assistant)
I took sometime deciding which lights to buy as some said they were smart lights but only because they link to an app with Bluetooth, not because they are linked to your Home Network via WiFi. These are 20W lights so fairly bright in colour mode and really bright if being used in cool white. Set up is remarkably straight forward, start by downloading the Smart Home app, I got it from Google Play but just as easy from Apple. Plug a lamp in and switch on and off a couple of times and then leave on, the lamp will start to flash, it is now in pairing mode, go to your app, you'll see the lamp waiting to be added. Click the + sign and that will enable you to add this lamp to the app, you can then edit the name of the lamp so its easy for you to remember when activating it through voice. The app also offers timing set ups, music to light, varying colours, all on or all off and so on. I then linked them to my Google Home set up to complete the installation. The only snag was when I moved the light to its final mounting destination (no screws supplied) the light lost its WiFi connection, I figured out the the signal goes in through the glass front and wouldn't connect when the back of the lamp was pointing towards my router. Please note, this was at some distance and if the lamp was closer to my router this wouldn't have been an issue, just thought it was worth mentioning for anyone who may struggle with longer distance connections. Easy to operate via my phone or Google Home with voice activation. They've only been installed for 24 hours so lets see how they go with cold weather and rain but so far very happy and at this stage I would thoroughly recommend. Good luck choosing!!

Easy to set up
I was a bit wary when I realised that this ran on the smart life app because I've had issues setting up in the past (that may have been my own fault in hindsight - MAKE SURE YOU SET THE LIGHTS UP NEAR THE ROUTER FIRST)These were a doddle to set up following the instructions on the leaflet and then on the app as well. These have a powerful output considering they are only 20 watts and an amazing range of colours. The cables are maybe a tad small for setting up outside but we have a waterproof extension box that works perfectly with them.Well made. Great value for money. These work just as good indoors as outdoors.Very happy I made the investment

Alexa "turn on my funky lights"......
Bought these to replace my intermittent working old ones that only worked with a phone app. These ones connect easily with the smart things app and have numerous settings such as brightness, colours, fading, timers, scenes etc. It also connected easily to my alexa, and now i have them set up to go on and off early eve to late eve, but also can intervene and ask Alexa to turn them on.Both are in the garden open to the elements. They are waterproof but obviously the plug isn't! They are both separate and each one has its own plug. They can be linked by the app to work together or independently. As with any colour RGB style lamp - they won't be as bright as a white light (albeit these can be white as well)My only moan is the fade function. It fades colours every 45-60 seconds at maximum. I would have preferred it to fade every few minutes. Other than that, very happy with these.

Colours are not bright at all
The white LED is very bright and lights up my whole garden light a christmas tree but the colour options are very dim. One of the floodlights colour red does not work so I would advice testing both because I realised the second didn't work right but I couldn't return it

Nice lights
The media could not be loaded. Very good lights for the price, surprisingly bright, easy setup, reacts well to music. Works well with alexa

Good value lights
Love these lights, have two sets installed in the garden. Good range of colours and in my opinion very bright for the wattage. As long as you connect them on the 2.4ghz wi-fi they connect to the app and Alexa really easily. As with other people, the cable is really short and i ended up having to cut the plug off and use an extension to get them wired up. (no simple way to open the lights and simply put a longer cable on)

Requires good WiFi.
Work great if, if, your wifi is very good. I upgraded to a mesh set up, lights work perfectly. Previous to that, no. Do a wifi test where you plan on putting the lights, if results are not top notch then don't bother.
