I've had several hand-held vacuums in the past, mainly for my car and always powered by plugging them into the car's cigarette lighter socket. Invariably, they have been underpowered and would struggle to pick up anything other than dust - certainly not the gravel and bits that get into a car from one's feet.This time, I needed a vacuum not just for my car but also for dog hair and dust around the house. After researching several I went for this one. So far, I am very pleased. It is robust and very well made - it feels good quality in the hand - and the suction is excellent. It really does suck up all the gravel and bits on a car floor with no problem. The motorised hair device works well and picks up most dog hair, though I have noticed a few hairs clinging stubbornly to the fabric sofa, so I've had to deduct something for that (on leather, I suspect they'd all be vacuumed up). The only other negative is that you can't charge it in your car, it has to be done by mains so can't be charged in-journey. That said, the charge lasted long enough for me to vacuum not one but two cars yesterday, and that's after I'd already used it for a minute or two in the house. So, overall, excellent, and nearly perfect.

This is by far the best handheld vac I've ever had (and I've had a few!) It's lightweight, has incredible suction for general mess and even hair, and is bagless, which makes it easy and mess free to empty.

I am so pleased I bought this, it has been a godsend. I bought it to clean up spillages around the kitchen and the mess my cats make (one has a fondness for chewing cardboard). I have used it to vacuum my car, my stairs and all sorts. It is incredibly powerful and the charge lasts for at least 15 minutes (the longest i have needed it for). It recharges in a couple of hours too. I highly recommend this.

Bought this for the cars and small spills, and it has the excellent suction that you expect from Shark. Nice and compact and battery life is good. Cannot yet vouch for its durability as only had it since November ‘24, but there have been no problems so far.NB if you use this to remove spiders, would advise you not to look at the clear box

I bought this to replace a black and decker Dust Buster that no longer charged up. The Shark has great suction for a hand held and has a run time of about 15 to 20 minutes. 3 different attachments make it useful for a number of surfaces. I use it to hoover up tracked cat litter and the cat tree mainly but also for little jobs around the house. Charges up in around an hour, light to use and the controls are easily accessed when in hold. Easy to empty and, because I use it for cat litter, I have washed the detachable parts a few times now (filter, waste container, attachments). I think this had one of those voucher deals too which made it great value for money.
