I love tart things including Tamerand, lavashak and sour cherries. This brand is so much better than Sadaf’s, although I rated theirs also high. I absolutely recommend this to my tart loving mankind 😉

Half the bag is dry and not edible.

These cherries arrived well sealed and while I have never tried Persian style dried cherries, they were still fairly moist, not typically what I think when I get "dried" fruit. They were more like the consistency of dates. They were still moist and there was moisture in the bag. I wouldn't say they were wet, but they certainly weren't dry either. They were somewhat sticky to the touch. As to the flavor, it was good. Sour and tart. The pits occupy a significant volume of the cherry, there's almost as much pit there as there is fruit. I'm not sure if you put a handful of these in your mouth like sunflower seeds and spit out the pits or if you are supposed to eat them one at a time. Overall, they are pretty good though. The bag says there are two servings per bag and that a serving is a tablespoon. It seemed to me there was more in the bag than that.

Good quality, but too expensive!

These Shemshad dried sour cherries are delicious! They are perfectly tart with that real nice sweetness...they are very balanced in flavor. Sweet and sour at the same time. I have always loved dried sour cherries, they aren't quite dried but they are just so tasty and a little juicy too! These are big, plump, tasty and overall premium quality. They are a bit on the expensive side but they are worth every bite. These are fresh; other brands I have had have been stale. I add these to cereal, trail mixes and top my ice cream with them but my favorite way to eat them is right out of the bag! Maybe one day they will last long enough for me to bake with them! For now, I'm just happy eating them as is!
