Merrick Purrfect Bistro Turkey Pate Wet Cat Food, 3 oz Cans, Pack of 24

My fussy eater loves it

I have two senior Persian cats who are extremely particular about what food they are given. I've tried many catfoods over the years and most brands usually bore them quickly. They only like a pate texture to their food, and this is what they can enjoy with Merrick Perfect Bustro catfoods. There are all kinds of pate textures and what pleases my cats the best is the softness and moisture of this product. Because they love the Merrick Bistro catfoods there is very little left on their plates after they have finished their meal. I like the variety of flavors they offer so there is no worry about your cat tiring on only one or two flavors. I recommend this product

This product is loved by my cats. They love the flavor and I appreciate the digestibility. They have both lost a couple pounds over the year they have been on this food brand.

Product is used for four cats ranging from upper middle age down to about a one year old. Three male black cats and one multi-colored female sister to the big black! My cats over about eight years have been fed only Merrick Brand; this after checking with the local pet store that I use here and in my last Home area. They rated Merrick at/near the top of a five-brand list. I know the Merrick Brand is expensive and now more-so at the end of 2019. I wish "someone" could really tell me how good it is. I know that all their coats gleem and they run and play more than past cats of mine. They have Nature to look at from the inside with massive full-height windows in most areas. We have deer/fox/raccoon/ hawks/buzzards/crows/you-name-it to occupy when required. All my cats know what days they get the Pate; they love to hear the pop of the lid and all but one, eats the pate far to fast! Can't say whether another Brand would satisfy them, but they truly love the Merrick Brand there is no doubt!

My cat really enjoys this food, and he is a very picky cat. He is always eager to eat it. This food has no juice and no gravy. It is thick and firm, like a can of luncheon meat for people. This contains high quality turkey, chicken liver, and chicken. It has no by-products, no artificial dyes, no ingredients from China, and no unnecessary vegetables that cats don’t need. The reason this is getting four stars instead of five is because it contains Carrageenan, a potentially unhealthy ingredient, and Guar Gum. They are used as food thickeners. Some experts think Carrageenan might cause tumors and illnesses in animals. Some studies show that Guar Gum might decrease the digestibility of protein in food. Hopefully, those experts are wrong, and my cat will be perfectly healthy on this food. In the meantime, kitty loves his Turkey Pate. UPDATE My cat loved this food for a few months. But now suddenly he won't eat it. He sniffs it and walks away. Maybe he got bored with it, or maybe he likes some other food I am giving him better. He won't tell me. He just says meow.

Would give it zero stars, spend the money on this food only to have my cat break out with an allergic reaction because they changed the formula to cheaper ingredients and fillers, used to be great now it’s terrible. PROFIT OVER QUALITY SAD!!!!!!!

I have two diabetic cats and needed a grain free food to feed them. What I like best about all of Merrick's Purrfect Bistro Pates is that they mix well with water. I find that cats would rather lick up their food then bite into it, especially if it is cold. I mix warm water into the food and mash it up until it is a liquidy paste. All cats, not just diabetic ones, need a good amount of water into their diet so mixing into the pate food has worked great for me and this Merrick pate food mixes really well. Some foods will just gunk up and not blend with the water, too much fat in it perhaps but not this food. Mixes into a nice slurry that my cats clean right up. I have had my cats on this food for many years and their diabetes has been well managed on it. I also give them PureBites for a healthy snack and Stewart Fiber Treats as one cat has had anal gland issues (not related to this food, she is just old). Merrick makes a good product, their dry food is great too.

Our cat is getting fussy and particular in her old age. There have been various cat foods that she'd eat for awhile and then simply refused to keep eating, the duck version from this same brand being an example. But for some reason, this is one she still likes.

I trusted and ordered from this company for a while until my recent orders where the cans where completely dry, made my cats sick and there was BUGS all over the cans!!! I will never buy from this company again. If you are to sell food for pets please make sure your quality control is decent!

My cat like this food

I got an amazing price, but I wouldn't pay full price for it. (I've just learned that they are phasing-out some of this line, which explains some of the discounts) The quality and reputation of the brand seems strong. The Rabbit variety has the best ingredients, including more organ meats than this Turkey version (which of course she had for thanksgiving dinner.) It's a dry, dense paté. My cat eats it, but it's obviously not her favourite. The deal was so good that I bought 3 different flavours, luckily it has a nice, long best-before date because I'll have to mix it and alternate it with other brands so she doesn't look at me like I've betrayed her. Some of it might get donated to the shelter.
