Great Little Heli, Trust The Review Of Someone Experienced
This little heli is awesome! It has two gears for mellow flight or a go with a bit more pep, which I figured out by reading some else’s review here. The instructions only show that there is a button to switch the gears. It has auto take off and landing or you can do it manually. The three batteries give plenty of flight time. Great little heli to learn 4 channel. Now let’s talk about it being good for beginners! The answer to that is kind of. There are a few different types of helicopters that vary in difficulty of flying. The most simple type to fly is a 3 channel that can go up-down, forward-backward and it can turn left and right. I see that some reviews have compared this heli to those and that is a mistake. This helicopter is a four channel helicopter which adds the ability to now fly sideways left and right which brings a new dimension into play. That fact alone does make it more difficult to fly than the three channel helis. This heli will also fly quite a bit quicker than a three channel will, adding to the challenge. There are much more difficult heli to fly, which are collective pitch heli so this is definitely beginner level when compared to that. I would recommend this heli for someone getting into the hobby but it will take some time to learn how to fly well. Not really for small kids.

Firefox teaches nubies on a dime.
Fairly stable helicopter for a beginner. One touch landing button worked well and acted like a safe when I got it out of control. Can be very fast if you move the sticks a lot, so there is a lot of fun in it for a more experienced pilot as well. I flew it in the garage the first time to avoid any wind. I was able to trim it pretty well. My only complaint is that it loses it’s trim every time you land and shut the motor off. It needs trim to hover every time you take off, but the trim was never very far off. It just wouldn’t hover without trim. The transmitter is cheap but worked very well. For what you pay for this, the compromises are acceptable. I could trim it to move forward slowly and use the tail boom control to turn in a controlled circle in either direction. I could pretty much cut the throttle and it would land on its own. The best thing about it was its resilience. I crashed it into things in the garage five times the first day and it never broke. The only problem I had was keeping its speed down when it got out of control. I would over compensate making things worse. I learned to release the sticks and hit the land button. If you can find a large indoor space or a totally calm day to begin flying, that would be better. I wouldn’t start in a living room as a beginner. The battery time was surprising. It states 15 minutes and I got that. It takes a little more than an hour to charge the battery, so the versions with multiple batteries are better. The instructions are riddled with errors. You need to read them to figure out how to bind the heli and controller and how to start it up and how to charge the batteries, but that’s it. It comes completely assembled. You just need four AA batteries. It pretty much just landed when the battery dies. It never shut off all at once so you just land when it starts slowing down. I don’t know how long it will last, but it’s a lot of fun for now. The value is there. It does fly and is about as good as it gets to learn on.

Terrific beginners flyer!
It will require some patience to skill up, but what better than a fun basic helicopter for starters!? Take it slow and easy, read and take time to the excellent users manual. As you practice flying the users manual clarifies the helis actions. Have fun flying!

I got a lemon so you dont have to
The heli looks decent and seems impressive for the price point. Then you try and fly it. Mine has a large list of problems. Many of the parts are warped and no parts line up with each other. The tail shaft is leaning hard to one side and its twisted. The battery holder holds battery so securely that the heli cames apart (landing gear pops off) when you try to take it out, yet the battery is canted off to one side-causing a list of flying problems. Wont hover- very badly balanced (battery holder holda battery to side instead of middle) and will almost huver with trim set to max. When you can get it to hover for a second the whole heli is canted at an angle- badly balanced. Press the forward direction and the heli yaws hard to left then goes forward at angle no matter how you correct it. Let off sticks and it hovers crookedly and starts to yaw after trying to correct itself. I cant recommend the product and would say to get a different model. The $18 walmart helis are far better quality.

Fun!! Quick and agile indoor / outdoor FP helicopter.
W0W! I can’t believe how easy it is to fly this little helicopter outside. It’s fairly fast, very responsive, stable and agile. Surprisingly, it handles a mild wind with ease. The tail hold is exceptional, and not twitchy. I recommend a beginner learning orientation to start outside. This helicopter can really move at full speed. It looks fragile, but can take a beating on the grass. For the money it’s a ton of fun!! My third helicopter in 2 months is a XK-110S CP helicopter. I’m hooked!!

Missing part
It's a good product flies fine with a lot of electronic hand holding but arrived with a missing linkage rod and Amazon was unable to help and the company itself had terrible customer support that didn't reply.

Fun but with A slight learning curve for beginners
To start off the helicopter flies awesome. It is relatively fast and and the build is nice. However it comes with A slight learning curve. Not like A steep learning curve more like A speed bumb learning curve. It is awesome for both indoor and outdoor flight. If you've never flown an RC helicopter I recommend doing it outside and reading the manual before hand. It comes with everything needed to fly out the box giving you the most bang for your buck. However 4 AA batteries are required. Overall A fun little flyer.
