You can install these in two ways. 1. take off the end, run the cable through it, bend the wire slightly and push into the plug end. The wire will come out through the hole in the plug end. Then tighten the cap part to secure the connection. This is the best method and results in a great connection and the speaker wire going straight into the plug. 2. loosen the cap, push the speaker wire through the side of the plug hole, tighten the cap. This is fine but you cables enter the plug at 90 degrees which can be a little tough in tight situations. My cables have very thick insulation, they were to large to go through the cap so I had to use the 90-degree option.
