I am an artist and can't finish my painting in a day, so I store the paint on my palette in the Palette Garage. I absolutely can't live without this product. I have 2 of them since I use water mixable oils as well as oil paints. Don't ask me how, but the clove oil which is placed on each disc on each end of the Palette Garage keeps the paint fresh for a long time. Many students in my art class use this product because they see how well it keeps my paints fresh. This is great for travel as the "v" shape plastic (which is placed inside the tube) always stays level. There are different sizes available. I have a 14" and a 16" so I don't get my oils and water mixable paints confused.

overpriced for what it is …. and wished it could take more paint but will try and use it and get a better sense of it was worth it

I'm an artist. A teacher friend had bought this and i had to have it. Boy it works great - does what it says. Keeps my paint for days. I paint with other mediums so now I can put my oils away for a few days and they will stay fresh. Plus it fits so well in my roller bag.

I use it for oil paints between sessions. It’s a great solution. I put it in the freezer when I’m done for good measure. Paints still good after 2 weeks. I love it.

A better one is avail but I didn't hear of it until after I bought this one.

It works good. I use it often. Soak the ends good with the oil. I've left my oil paint in the palette garage up to a week. The only thing is that sometimes a light skin will form. But otherwise the paint isn't dried out.

Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to carry my paints when I paint on location, easy to store the paint in the refrigerator. I had clover oil before and I placed it on my mixing glass palette on a piece of napkin, scared every time that it will get in to my paints. this way is much more secure.

I wanted to try this product to reduce wasted paint but fully loaded it required the blobs of color to be so close together that unless you use a very limited palette you might find it frustrating. It definitely helps with cleanup though since I just use my palette for mixing and wipe it off after each use. The clips that attach it to the palette are poorly designed and won't lay flat. I use office clips instead. The unit came with no instructions for use or cleaning. I recommend putting tape over the plastic paint holder before loading so you can just peel off the old paint. The clove oil works well and I can buy it in local health food stores. I found it hard to adapt to having all my colors in one straight line instead of my usual layout. Still I will probably use it for small scale paintings requiring limited amounts of paint and limited pallete work. It's not good for travel since it needs to be kept horizontal but may be useful in the studio.
