Smells like rotting fish; turns out that's what files love
I really should have taken a photo but this mini contraption has helped our fly issue immensely. First I want to say that I do not have the typical situation and no one in the neighborhood knew until July.We have had a horrible fly problem ever since we moved in 5 years ago. We just thought it was because our street backs up to a swampy area and we have dogs and "dog dirt" is fantastic for fly breeding. We tried so many things including staying on top of the dog dirt for a whole summer and still SO MANY FLIES. Turns out our neighbors couldn't afford a second garbage collection can so for the last 5 years they have been tossing their overflow kitchen garbage - they have 6 kids btw so this includes diapers - into their garage. No, we couldn't smell it.Fast forward to them moving out in July and leaving the garage door partly open and our fly problem has been worse then ever. The flip company that bought the house did remove the garbage so now we were left to deal with the flies. Finally, we came across this product. We purchased one from our grocery store hung it out for a few days just in the backyard, and the thing was PACKED FULL of flies. So many, in fact, that they started to breed in the bag. For us, the best results have been to leave it out overnight and then for the whole day before garbage day, by the garbage cans, and then toss the whole contraption. Honestly, I have spotted very few files since using this fly trap. If used per the directions on the back, it works. I bought the 6 pack, so if anything changes, I will update this review.TL; DR: This smells so bad. So, so bad. Hold your nose when filling it with water. BUT, you cannot smell it outside, unless you're standing right by it, and IT WORKS!

YES!!! They work!!!
I have purchased a couple of different brands of flycatchers and these, made by Raid, are far superior to all the others. I have caught so many flies that I am in awe. I feed feral cats, and their food outside was attracting them in amounts I couldn’t believe. My cats and I are so grateful for the job they do and make both our lives much less miserable.

Will attract! CLOSE before disposable !
Works great attracts a bag full . You just cut the top plastic wrapper to pull up the lid , add water and it’s ready! You must have your wire or string to hang it gets heavy , I use wire to hang around my chicken coop. CLOSE LOCK TOP WHEN ITS FULL . I did not think they could get out . I just put the full bag in a plastic bag and a million flies swarmed around .It can smell bad if you leave it up too long Maggots will be in the bag . Great product better than fly strips or rolls of sticky paper by far! NO FLYS ARE AROUND MY HENS , the barn , the chicken coop , the Deck YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY FLYS YOU HAVE !!!!!

Amazing results but the ODOR!!!
These work like magic!! Flies fun rampant in my duck house no matter how clean I keep it. The fly strips work amazingly well! BUT I loved the idea of the disposable fly trap bag! No stickiness....no mess or fuss! At first I was confused because after 2 days of 3 bags hanging in the duck house....NO flies (yes I followed the instructions)! On the third day...there was 1 or 2 in each bag. On day 4...I couldn't count and they just started multiplying from there. After about 2 weeks, those bags were stuffed over half full. I would have filled them up but at this point the stench was so nauseatingly repugnant I thought it would make the ducks even sick!! No big deal....amazingly inexpensive and I still had 3 left out of the 6 pack I bought. I capped them per the instructions and just in case the ick might leak out....I put them in a garbage bag. (scented because that's what we buy) I could still smell that disgusting smell. I double bagged them. Ok...now I think maybe a hint of the smell? No worry...they are outside in the garbage can. Put something in the garbage can the next day....Oh my goodness!!! The stench was grotesque!!! Rest of the story short...after the garbage man came and emptied the garbage can...(they aren't cans any more but plastic) the stench was still there. I had to clean with bleach to get rid of the stench and even that still took about a week before I could not detect it anymore. The fly strips have gone back up, and I just duck my head when I go to that part of the duck house. The fly bags worked, and the fly population dissipated but was it worth the stench? Not for me.

Hang near front door or points of entry.
These things are great. I hang it near the front door and it fills up in 1-2 weeks. Fly activity is very greatly reduced. Highly recommend.

Wonderful fly catchers
They attract flies so quickly, it’s great!Just don’t hang them close to your home, the bait inside is very smelly! My husband use to use fly swatters; they aren’t needed anymore!
