Ideal for indoor and outdoor palms, it naturally protects against pests and fungus mosquitoes while promoting strong cell growth and stable root systems. This odorless, allergy-friendly substrate reduces watering frequency and supports healthy, vibrant palms year-round. ## Description From the manufacturer Seramis special substrate Ideal for all palm trees The Seramis special substrate is a blend of Seramis plant granules with lava and a silicate mineral, creating the best conditions for optimal growth. It can be used as a potting soil replacement for all palm trees. But what makes the special substrate so special? The lava not only increases the drainage effect, but also improves the stability of the growing plants thanks to its weight. The plant granules and the silicate mineral ensure that water and nutrients are stored better and the plant develops a more stable cell structure. This advantage of water and nutrient storage combined with a targeted release to the plant also has the advantage that you need to water your plants less - ideal for the holiday season. In addition, the silicate mineral has a slightly insulating effect, so that pot plants on the balcony or terrace are kept warm for longer. The Seramis special substrate is an odourless, natural quality product from the Westerwald. It is a particularly clean product that does not age, maintains its loose structure and thus ensures the plant always pleasant ventilation. In addition, fungus mosquitoes are kept away, as they do not feel particularly comfortable in the clay granules. The Seramis system The clay granules ensure optimal absorption and release of water, nutrients and oxygen. The vital food provides the minerals and trace elements vital for the plant and the watering indicator shows exactly when it is time to water again. So your plant is always well supplied - even without green thumbs. Advantages at a glance Ideal water and nutrient storage, less watering Targeted release of water, nutrients and oxygen to the plant Extremely durable substrate Reinforced drainage effect Additional silicates for cell build-up Insulating effect for outdoor plants Odourless Filling the drainage layer The best time for repotting with the Seramis special substrate for palm trees is in spring, but in principle can be re-potted all year round. Use a significantly larger planter with a vent hole to allow excess water to drain into the planter or saucer and cover the drain hole with gravel or shard of clay. First fill the soil with 1/3 Seramis Special Substrate - it is important that you first fill the pot base with a small layer of clay grains for drainage. Insert the plant with root balls Before inserting the plant with root balls, shake off excess soil easily and remove dead roots. For dry bales, it is recommended to immerse them in water first so that they soak up with water. Watering made easy: The watering indicator Fill the remaining substrate so that the root ball is now completely surrounded by the clay grains. Finally, insert the practical watering indicator to the bottom edge of the display field directly into the root ball. Water the plant slowly and large. For a balanced diet, we recommend the special Seramis vital food for green plants and palm trees. The right care for beautiful plants With the help of the watering indicator and the Seramis vital food for green plants and palm trees, you can create the ideal conditions for your plant for healthy and strong growth: Targeted watering depending on plant requirements and a gentle fertiliser to supply the plant with all important nutrients. So you can easily take care of beautiful plants even without green thumbs.
