Zhou Energy + Focus - 200mg L-Theanine - 60 Vegetarian Capsules (Pack of 1)

I have been a heavy diet soda addict for 18 years, and I am a 56 year old woman, and I have tried many times to quit, and failed :( I was so happy when Diet Pepsi took out the Aspartame, and replaced it with a healthier sweetener. But, it still wasn't healthy for my body to be drinking that much diet soda each and every day, which I figured out to 4 to 6 cans a day. I know, that is very excessive ;) LOL I have lost 45 lbs in three years, which was good, but I lost it by eating less sweets, and cutting back on second servings. I knew I wanted to quit diet soda, but how?? I was so addicted to it, and I was scared to have the bad and sometimes severe side effects, with going cold turkey. I didn't know what to do, so I did some research on Google, and I came across these Caffeine with L-Theanine pills, and I read the reviews, and there were more positive, than negative, so I figured why not, and purchased a jar. I drank my last can of Diet Pepsi, on Sunday, and I started my new plan to quit on Monday, and I started to feel the withdrawals of not having my morning can of diet soda when I woke-up in the morning, and I started to feel kinda jittery, and shaky inside, and feel a slight headache coming on. So I ate a bowl of cereal, because I read some reviews to take this pill with food, and then I took one pill, and within an hour I started to feel better, more calm, and the shaky and jittery feelings started to subside, and so did my headache. I was so happy, and thought wow, this is super great, if it can help me to quit diet soda. Later in the afternoon, I started to feel a little tired, so I took another pill, and I was feeling good and less tired, and was impressed so far. I have to say, I have not drank any diet soda for 4 days, and for being a addict of soda for 18 years, I feel great, and haven't had any cravings for it, and honestly I don't miss it, and I think it's all because of this product, and it has made it so easy to give up the diet soda, and not get the bad withdrawals, that I was dreading. I have not had one withdrawal so far. I only take one pill in the morning, I have been taking these pills for 4 days now, one pill once a day, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone that needs a boost of caffeine, and want to quit drinking diet soda, or cut back on coffee. I will continue to buy this product, and I am so thankful that I have found this product, to help me break my addiction to diet soda, it's a life changer for the better. I feel more calm, and relaxed, with more energy, and in a better mood :) I know this product doesn't work for everyone, but I am so happy is has worked for me so far. FYI: I hate coffee, and Alcohol, and I never drink it, and I don't smoke, or do drugs, so I don't need to rely on these other unhealthy substitutes for energy, or to calm myself down with :) I am so thankful for this product, that I can finally give up diet soda, and be more healthy!!!!! I ordered this product after a friend recommended and gave me a 5 day supply. I can not believe how great I feel. I have tried many, many products including NAD injections, Sermoralin injections and other very expensive methods to increase stamina and energy. I am a 60 year old female who practices yoga, farms, eats clean...does all the "things." Yet, when I hit that 60 mark, my energy level tanked. After just 2 weeks on this supplement, I feel a world of difference! I am once again waking with the crow of the roosters, going to bed early and sleeping well, feel happy, focused. Can't say enough about how good I feel. If I am feeling a bit of a drag mid day, I take another. I am NOT a coffee drinker so maybe the caffeine makes a difference for me. Don't care what it is, I love that I feel great!

I love staying physically active. However, I suffer from depression - it is really difficult to get up in the morning, I have no motivation to work or go about my normal life. I wouldn't say these are a miracle supplement, but these supplements give me the small boost I need to wake up and continue with my work and my daily life. I am not bouncing off the walls and doing back flips, but I do feel a lot better and I can focus on my work. It takes about 30 mins to an hour to work, and some days it doesn't work at all, but that is pretty rare. I've tried plenty of supplements like this, but this one has the best effect on me whenever I am working. I never feel horrible afterward. My mood is pretty steady the entire day. I would give this product a higher score, but it is a little pricey, so I don't purchase this product often.

I'm on my second bottle, so I'm now able to accurately assess my ultimate opinion on this. I take one tablet in the morning when waking up and one after lunchtime. I don't drink coffee so this works as a substitute. What's strange about these pills is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When it works, you feel this uplifting alert and awake natural high without the nervousness or jitters that comes from high caffeine quotients. The Theanine in this is a relaxer and is what softens the caffeine otherwise you would likely have those controversial jitters. There are days where I take this and it's not felt at all. Those days are more than the days where this does actually work. I may be sluggish and lethargic on a certain day even after eight hours of sleep and a healthy diet, I take one of these pills and it does absolutely nothing. I've reached the point where this works on some days, but on many days I don't feel much of a difference and end up reaching for another caffeine source instead. If I'm reaching for another energy source instead of just using this, then this is not working for me and it isn't worth $20 a month. I just don't feel this stuff is worth more than $10. This bottle is close to $20 and is not worth the price. I've found caffeine/theanine combos in other products that price it just right at $10, so I will move onto those. The fact that this doesn't work on most days for me, may not have anything to do with this product, but could just be my body/brain chemistry. Not everyone experiences the same results from a nutrition supplement. This may work exceptionally well for you as it has for many people, but I'm going to move on and try another source that works well enough to the point where I'm not reaching for an alternative on top of that.

This is the third product I have ordered from Zhou Nutrition and I am beyond impressed with the quality and efficacy of their products! I have completed one bottle of the Energy + Focus and I can tell you it is a real pleasure to be awake, alert and on-the-ball throughout the entire day. When I used to reach for "rocket fuel" (two teabags in a cup!) or food to pep me up I noticed undesirable effects of scattered thoughts and I had NO ability to relax and wind-down at the end of my day. Food results with a high and then a crash PLUS added weight on the scale. Who needs that?

This formulation of caffeine + L-Theanine is perfect for those who may be more caffeine sensitive, or just not want to deal with the jitters and crash from caffeine consumption alone. You still feel the energy from the caffeine, but the L-Theanine smooths out the rough edges and jitters, and somehow prevents the crash. I have a family member who is so sensitive to caffeine that a single excedrin taken at lunch will keep them up for hours past their normal bedtime, but this much stronger dose of caffeine is no problem for them to take and deal with, while still sleeping easily at night. I wouldn't recommend taking it within a couple hours of you needing sleep, but I've taken it around 3pm to deal with the afternoon energy downturn and it works beautifully while still allowing me to sleep by 10pm. I tend to shy away from overseas supplement companies because of pervasive manufacturing quality control standards, but am glad that I gave Zhou a chance. I have had no problems with any of their products, and have received the same, consistent formulation every time. I have bought from them repeatedly and recommended this brand and product to my family members and would have no problems recommending them to anyone else.

Makes Me Yawn 🥱 ALOT!!!! (Note: I do not take any other medications or supplements) Read about the effectiveness before buying. I jumped passed that and went straight to the comments. The bad outweighs the good on that subject. I saw the many great reviews and figured id give it a try in hopes that I'd be able to give a great review and help others who struggle as I do. I have 2 little ones and I struggle to keep up with them and do school and what I need to do. I actually look forward to nap time for them so I can also take a nap and struggle getting back up. This was my first day using them and I took it about 9-10am. Within an hour or so, I was yawning repeatedly and feeling extremely drowsy. It's a little after 4pm now and I am still tired. I definitely don't need help with sleep as I sleep often and was looking for something to keep me more going and on the move throughout the day. I've been fighting myself to stay away though I REALLY can just nap and be happy but I don't want to. So the tugowar with that is so off putting and very frustrating as I had high hopes for the effectiveness. Sadly this was money just donated because I gained absolutely nothing from it. I'll be looking elsewhere for what I need.

I had a really high expectation on this product, especially given how long I've waited for it to arrive here in Australia. But after almost two weeks of testing (in morning, afternoon, before meal, after meal.etc), I'm quite disappointed to say that it just does not work for me. What bothers me the most tho is that I've actually bought two bottles at once for the sake of saving some shipping cost...

Not sure if its a batch issue but what I got felt like placebo pills. Didn't do anything for me at all
