I've purchased 2 of these to pull exhaust out of a downdraft wood table and pull fumes from a makeshift paint booth. The fans work great in both applications. One fan has been in infrequent used for about 1.5 years. Air flow is good and as near as I can tell the explosion proof behavior works, as I have not experienced an explosion pulling fumes from the paint booth. The sound level is somewhat high, but at an expected level given the amount of air movement.

This is a very powerful fan, it moves the air in the solar container and keeps the components cooler and extracts the hydrogen gas with out worry.

Good looking, explosion proof, well built. Would have been nice to have 2 different speeds, but can easily make do with one. First thing you need to know, is there are 3 wires. Ground was obvious, Green with yellow stripe. Brown is the HOT leg, sometimes called line & Blue is return. Bought ventilator for primary residence. My 2 Best girls are more allergic to low VOC latex paint than I think it'd a pain to use. Not being able to pop out the the pin from the pretty new high end brass hinges makes it far worse. To use for my application an exhaust hose required

First, the fan is packed with ZERO foam or padding. Mine arrived with a dent - could have lived with that. Second, it was used, clearly the wiring had already been attached once - could have lived with that. Third: the wires are non-standard colors. No black, no white. Blue and beige and wite/green. No notes on what’s hot, what’s ground in the instructions. - absolutely not. 2 of the 4 feet were missing. The rubber for the feet was in the box, the bolts were missing - just another fail.

Would prefer larger gage wire on power cored. Had to add heavier gage wire with a plug to fit 20 amp receptacle.

This works great and is slightly cheaper then the other brand. I have one of each, I can’t tell a difference between the 2 besides the color
