Works great but be careful where you put the mitt down!
I purchased this mitt for my daily driver as it's been over 4 years since I've done a proper cleaning of my vehicle. I tried to clay bar it last year but it took so long that I was only able to clean a partial side of my car. This mitt works great. Saves a lot of cay bar time. Follow the instructions to remove the protective layer and prevent marring. The one issue I experienced is that after the wash, I laid it down on my porch handrail to let it sun dry. When I lifted the mitt, the sticky surface took some of the paint right off my handrails! Patching the hand rails is no problem but I was not able to remove all of paint from the mitt so in essence, this mitt can't be used now. Contacted Nanoskin to see if there is a way to remove the dried paint. Maybe I need to cut portions of the mitt to remove the paint... Otherwise a great product.Be careful where to place the mitts' sticky surface, as it may be hard or impossible to remove certain types of material from it.

Good for super quick 90% removal. Still need a clay bar to finish. Leaves scuffs.
Tried this rather expensive clay mitt out based on a handful of recommendations from detailing forums and reviews here.PROS: It seems to do a fantastically quick job of significantly restoring the smoothness of your paint. It takes about 1/3 of the time (compared to traditional clay) to handle what I estimate to be about 90% of the bumpy surface contaminants based on a run of my hand over the surface before and after using it. It's also much easier/quicker to keep moving because you don't need to knead clay and can just rinse it off with a quick shot from the garden hose.CONS: It's not as good at removing stubborn embedded contaminants as a traditional clay bar. Depending on your desired end-results it very well may not be sufficient. If you're just trying to quickly smooth out your paint before throwing on some wax, this could be an ideal product for you. If you are, like me, trying to prep your paint for a full polish (or compound) by machine and need the surface to be 99%+ free of contaminants, you WILL need to follow this up with a traditional clay bar to achieve those results. For this latter group of detailers, this clay mitt can still save you time as long as you use it with this expectation in mind. Knowing that it CAN'T get all contaminants out, you need to stick to large flat surfaces ONLY and move quickly to mow down the 90% that you can get, then switch to the more meticulous clay bar to perfect it and get any tight spots that the mitt couldn't effectively get to. Toiling away to get everything off with the mitt alone will take you 3x or 4x longer than the quick "mow down" and the results will not be perfect so, after all that work, you'll STILL need to break out your clay bar to clean up the rest. Use the mitt for what it's good for — knocking off the low hanging fruit super fast. Then either stop if you're happy or follow up with actual clay.BIG CONS:This clay mitt leaves scuff residue on the paint (see my included pictures). There's absolutely no getting around it. It's particularly troublesome/noticeable on white paint. A second pass with an OG clay bar will fairly easily remove the residue, but also more quickly contaminate your clay bar so you'll be tossing them sooner. If you're curious about my methods, I was working in the shade of a garage, on freshly cleaned and cool paint. I had the problem with my traditional amount of clay lube, so I used 2x, then 3x, then constant spraying, and the scuffing still happened. I used a bucket of ONR rinseless wash diluted at clay lube concentration for periodic (2-3x per panel) dunks of the mitt and a spray bottle with the same solution to keep things lubricated as I worked. No dice. Still scuffing. What I noticed is that if you keep it hyper-stupid-lubricated and stick to large, relatively flat areas, it tends to scuff very infrequently. The second you get close to any character lines in the body, scuff city. So if you're going to use the mitt, stay away from them. Also, if you have darker paint you may never notice them — but for sure they're there.VERDICT: This is a good product to save time if you're looking for fast, decent results with some potential cleanup needed to follow up if a stellar finish is the goal. I will continue to use it as outlined above until it wears it out. Once I toss it, I probably will not buy again and just go back to a single step traditional clay process.

Way easier than expected for a first-timer
I was expecting a difficult and time-consuming process. I thought I'd have to carefully run the mitt in a straight line over every inch of the car as you would with a clay bar. Instead, I quickly mixed some waterless car wash into a spray bottle and found I could basically "wash" the car with the mitt. It's a 2000 Tundra with 230k and probably never clayed before. I could feel a TON of contamination. I did the entire truck in maybe 30 minutes (after washing it first, of course, and then using Iron X to get the easy stuff off). The mitt worked great and was easy. Afterward, the car expectedly looked awful. I corrected 4 panels and they're looking good so I expect the rest of the truck to look good when finished. Awesome product and well worth the money for the ease of use alone, not to mention the ability to wash and reuse.

Vehicle Contamination Eliminator the easy way
I used this on a Black Heavly oversprayed vehicle. I used extra car washing liquid as a lubricatant . I washed vehicle first using another microfiber cloth and after rinising I started using this washing mitt. I was leary because the package states light colored vehicles, this made life much easier than trying to claybar the whole car in Hot Dallas. It worked and left no marring or any noticeble marks requiring immediate paint correction. Percentage wise I say it removed 90% of overspray comtamination easily, the remaining contamination had to have more force applied. I used straight line strokes, no circular movement on paint. I broke it in on windsheild as recommended and stored it in same container after it airdried. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was it appears the polyside of mitt seemed as though it was peeling away in places, I didnt think I wiped anything which could have snag and possible caused this peeling. bottomline this is easily a tool for vehicle detailers.
