Charfleet Dataday Birders Log Book Dataday Birders Pocket logbook - Ref BPL

I've had three of these which will cover twelve years birding. Great for providing continuity. The logs are small and light and can be used in a variety of ways to suit an individuals taste. Sections include a British bird list where you can record a sighting for each of four years. Latin names also supplied and tick squares for new species. I'm not sure what system of grouping it follows ie waterfowl followed by game birds and takes a bit of getting used to but not really a problem. There is also a page for running total of species seen each year. The rest of the book consists of trip note pages ie date, location, weather and time. There are 158 pages but I tend to ignore the top headings and just work from below the previous entry with date and location.The only bug bear is the elastic strip to keep pencil/pen attached to the log. It never lasts long and, I know, it drives some people crazy. Personally, the positives of this log so outweigh this negative that it doesn't detract from the log's value.

I bought this for a birthday present I know it was advertisedas pocket size but it was so small it would be difficult to write anything in it but more important the front cover had glue Mark's in several places I wouldn't recommend this book
