From our line, Aurora TubesTM by Active States, this device is comprised of a paddle wheel balanced on a pivot inside of a vacuum tube. Due to the limited electrical resistance of air at very low pressure, electrons (manifested as cathode rays) can pass more freely between high voltage electrodes than at standard, higher pressures. The uncanny resemblance to the Aurora borealis is not the least bit coincidental. Thats why we call this line our Aurora TubesTM.
