A must have for those who enjoy straws!
One day I was home, flipping thru cable channels, when I happened upon Oprah interviewing Drew Barrymore. The actress commented on how cool the metal straws were, that were provided in the beverage for the interview. I was intrigued. My husband and kids use straws all the time and I wondered would they like these. So I searched Amazon and found these. What the heck...usually I spend about $2 to $3 for a large box of plastic straws, so for a small investment, I would have a set of reusable straws that my family might enjoy. You know what? I wasn't disappointed! I love them and so does the rest of my crew. What I like? These straws are shaped like their plastic counterparts. They even have a bend in the neck. The straws are stainless steel (like most silverware), and can be used for a variety of beverages...from liquid to frozen. And to me the beverage seems to stay colder than plastic ones. You can even clean the straws by hand, or slip into the dishwasher. And finally, because of their size, you can store them anywhere, including your silverware drawer. What don't I like? There isn't anything about these straws that I don't like. In conclusion, I highly recommend this product. They are cool, convenient and a must have. They also make for a wonderful conversation piece when guests are over. I give these 5 stars.

Hooray for Summer!
Drinking out of straws makes me think of summertime. Maybe because a delicious icy cold Coca Cola (with rum in it!) just seems to taste better through a straw, or maybe because I can drink a beverage with copious amounts of ice in it without the ice hitting me in the face. Either way, these are a great alternative to plastic drinking straws. Easy to clean - though I have not used them for smoothies or anything else that might get stuck in the straw. Size-wise, they're appropriate for a 16-18 ounce glass. I have not yet traveled with one on a plane, but am planning to take one along in a few weeks so we'll see what the TSA says. All-in-all, fun, functional, and eco-friendly product!

Good
These work fine. At first I was a little put off by the fact that the outside is shiny and smooth, but the inside of the straw is not polished. Sort of industrial-looking. Like a chromed tailpipe tip for a car where the outside is shiny but the inside is not. Seems like the inside would be polished too, since you'll be drinking through it.I got these mainly to drink coffee, which is acidic, and these straws are made in China so I had a concern about what is in the metal that might be able to leach out (like lead or other heavy metals). If they were made in the US at least they probably wouldn't have lead in them. Glass would be the best choice from a health standpoint, but glass straws are bigger (and fragile) and I needed a normal-size straw to travel with. Anyway, I got these and have been using them for a few years. They work fine, and are easy to clean with the Endurance brushes.

Takes Getting Used To, But Great & Stylish Product!
I like using straws. I think they are a good invention and helps keep the mess to a minimal when drinking from a cup. However, no matter how hard I try, I always forget to save my used straws. I even went to the local grocery store to buy a large pack of them but I guess I got a cheap brand because many of them had small cracks in the plastic. Anyone who's used straws before knows that any kind of crack/hole in a straw pretty much makes it useless. So doing a quick Google search on "cool straws", stainless steel straws came up as one of them. I came to Amazon.com and typed in the phrase "stainless steel straws" and got several results. Ultimately though, I chose this particular one because I liked the fact that it had etches that resembled the straws that flex and bend at one end. All other SS straws on Amazon where just a polished/curved metal pipe. I'm a sucker for aesthetically pleasing features.I've used these straws multiple times since receiving them and can vouch that they work as well (if not better than plastic straws). One of the things I do miss is being able to chew on a straw. That was just a habit of mine with the plastic ones and I've caught myself trying to chew on these from time to time, only to wince in pain from chewing on a hard piece of metal.A cool feature of the straw is that when drinking hot (or cold) drinks, the temperature of the drink flows through the straw and heats it up to the same temperature. It has a cool sensation as the liquid flows to your lips and if it's a cold drink, you get to see frost build up on the outside of the straw.Cleaning is very easy. After I use each straw, I just run it under hot tap water and let the water flow through it for a couple seconds. On the box, it says that these are dishwasher safe but may be cleaned with a pipe brush for extensive cleaning. For those wondering what those are, you can find them in the baby isle of your favorite store as "sippy cup cleaners". It's essentially a spiral brush on a long piece of plastic or wire.Aside from all that, I'm glad I own these. Not only do they look cool, but they never go bad and you never have to throw them away. I'm being hip & environmentally conscious at the same time.

Perfect
I got these for my wife after she saw Oprah using them. Go figure eh. But she just loves them, and she loves not having to throw away all the plastic straws anymore. I also got her some long and thin brushes to make sure she can get the insides nice and clean when they get gunked up when she makes a smoothie. They clean nicely in the dishwasher as well, and there is absolutely no taste change. I've tried them and I like them as well. I don't know if they would be good for small kids though. If they miss their mouth with the straw as kids can do, I could see a chipped tooth in their future. These straws will of course not give if you smack your mouth into them.Overall it was a great purchase and I can see us getting a few more in the future.

Weird taste...
I agree with a previous review that the stainless steel straws have an odd taste that no amount of cleaning can erase. However, my son and husband don't notice it.Maybe only certain people are sensitive to it. I almost didn't buy these for that reason. I already knew that I hated to drink from a stainless steel travel coffee cup that was given to me as a present. Another review suggests that fillings might cause a problem, but I don't have fillings.I should've just gone with my first inclination to buy glass straws which are made in America and sold are here by Amazon. (FYI: These are made in China. )I do not recommend these for people who are sensitive to tastes and smells, but I will probably keep them for my son and husband and buy glass straws for myself.Just the fact that plastic straws are no longer used and thrown away by my family is a step in the right direction for our environment!**Note: Another reviewer for a similar product mentioned that the weird taste has something to do with an allergy to nickel which is in stainless steel.

I love these straws!
I purchased a set of these straws for my mom in an attempt to stop her habit of having literally hundreds of plastic straws in draws waiting for her to use and throw away several times a day. Not sure if it worked, but I bought myself a set too and absolutely love them. We use them everyday with our smoothies and clean up is a breeze. I just rinse them in warm soapy water and run a pipe cleaner through them and I'm done. We have used them mostly with cold drinks and have not had any problem with the straw getting too cold. They look great and the detail of the rings around the bend makes these straws fantastic. I looked at glass straws as well but I'm too afraid they could chip or break in a glass cup. I think these stainless straws are great and should be added to everyones silverware collection.

Endurance Stainless Steel Drink Bent Straws (4 pack)
I bought these stainless steel straws mainly for one of my grandsons who has a habit of chewing on straws. I cleared the idea of this purchase with his father first to get his opinion, I didn't want to take the chance of being responsible of a possible chipped tooth. I thought the bent ones would be safer for children than the straight straws. These straws have truly been awesome, it has stopped the straw chewing habit. I had such a hard time finding / keeping replacement straws for sipper cups & these straws have been an answer to that delima also. If you try these straws I hope you will be as pleased as we are. This is the second set I've bought, one set for me for my grandchildren to use at my home & the other set I divided (one each) amoung my four young grandsons. Pricey but worth it to me on this product - no more buying of plastic straws.

Great
I use these straws on a daily basis to protect the enamel on my teeth from drinking tea with lemon juice. I don't want to waste disposable straws every day nor do I want to use plastic when drinking hot drinks. So these straws are the ideal solution, although you have to get used to having hard metal in your mouth instead of soft plastic. It feels a bit clinical - these straws are used in medical care as well. Overall a great product, fast shipment, well packed.

Missing cleaning brushes
The product is of good quality and we use it a lot. The only thing missing is a cleaning brush.
