Order two bulbs at a time
Ordered two so I would have a spare but the first bulb only lasts about 10 seconds before it blew out. Second bulb has been working great. Bulb price is good so I would recommend the you order a spare just in case.

Disappointed in Short Life
My second bulb burned out today, after less than 4 months. I had one before that and it also burned out after only a short period. The original Janome bulb lasted almost 5 years. I gave up on this product and found a halogen model at Lowes for $4.95. It's brighter and supposedly is designed to last 3000 hours or more. The jury is still out.
