I have been having digestive problems since last 3 months. I had acid reflux, belching, undigested food particles in stool that would be scratching me down as they exit. This followed after gut allergies. Besides, i had runny and unformed stools ejected too early before nutrients were absorbed from it in my intestines with pain. Sometimes more than 7 poops a day. I read that butyrate sends signals to intestinal cell lining to initiate mobility of stool and also helps with a lot of other things related to digestion. It's known to be anti-cancerous since ages now, in addition to helping with ulcers. It's complex to explain in 1 sentence of what i went through, barely past mid 30s, I underwent colonoscopy and nothing was detected. I am not overweight, but I started taking more fatty and sugary instant foods over last 1 year to save time for work, instead of home cooked meals that I always did. I don't know if it is peptic ulcer or duodenal ulcer either. But I know one thing for sure, I have been taking 6 capsules per day, 2 after each major meal of the day for the past 1 month and I now have regularly timed bowel movement like times before, soft yet right consistency (no scratching), bloating is completely gone - no passing gas that smells of same food I had eaten that day, no more belching unless i ate something too hot and spicy. I don't know if I am on the verge of a colorectal cancer or not, but my young cousin's death due to the cancer made me super conscious of my health after this episode of mine. I don't want to treat my body like a trash bin anymore. I check quality and quantity of food i stick in my mouth. These capsules gave me back my digestive health in 3 days to start with. I stopped one day to see if it were them really and I returned to square 1. Then I started immediately. I intend to continue them at least for 6 months more to see where I stand. Many assumed it is a prebiotic which it is not (pre would be precursor for the probiotic bacteria, meaning bacterial food or in simpler words, fiber. It is not fiber, they are short chain fatty acids, a lot shorter than omegas surely), it is kind of a fermentation product due to probiotic microbes. Think cheese! Cheese (blue cheese, brie cheese, and many more), yogurt, milk have plenty of this. But, they also have other heavier fats we can't consume in large quantities. So, this is my option. I can't probably explain that well now, but unless you try, you would never know how it works for you.

These didn't seem to work as well as the plain sodium butyrate. And that's not unexpected, since most of the studies have been done on plain sodium butyrate. So if I were you, I'd choose to start out with the plain sodium butyrate and then if you feel a need to experiment, branch out to other forms of butyric acid.

Amazing! Seriously! Biome Equal is the holy grail for butyrate, take it and watch how much better you feel. I went from almost bedridden to joyous once again. Leaky gut = autoimmune disorders, GET THIS PRODUCT NOW and watch what happens (it took about 1.5 weeks for me to really start feeling better, but this was after 5 years of feeling terrible, some say 3 days though) The other brands are not helping people with intense food sensitivities and autoimmune issues because: the other brands have MCT oil in them (which has been proven to provoke an allergic response), OR they have calcium and magnesium in them, putting you in a situation where your getting too much calcium in order to get 3.6-4.8 grams of butyrate in yoursystem). Let me also say, i have tried 4 brands of butyrate total and none compare to this one. However you will see “more” reviews for other companies products because those companies have more wallet depth for advertising.

I wanted to get some SFA's in my diet because I developed a milk protein allergy and this looked like the best option. I was taking them every day for a couple months and thought that I was run down over the winter. At some point I realized that I only started feeling bad in the morning after I took my supplements so I cut way back and added them back one at a time. When I got to this one, I noticed that less than an hour after taking them I started to feel very flushed, edgy, and ill, with later gut aches, which is what dairy does to me. I pulled them back out again and tried six more times at three day intervals, and got the same results. Three days later I tried no supplements except this one, and got the same results. I removed them from my supplement and haven't had the problems since. Now, an 'answered question' above says they're dairy free but the bottle doesn't. It may be a coincidence that these are meant to contain the SFA's that are in dairy without being dairy and they cause a reaction in me that's like a dairy allergy, but I really have no way of knowing for sure. Anyway, I've eliminated them and that's my experience. -1 star for a lack of an allergen statement on the bottle and -1 star for a capsule that does not contain the butyric acid aroma.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT/RELIEF FOR IBS/D. I don't think I will ever be able to do without this product. It has worked miracles for me I take 3 with every meal,possibly later I will go down to two w every meal. I keep a bottle at work also so I can always have it handy. I have spent so much money on pro biotics & different remedies...THIS STUFF IS WONDERFUL!

I take these with a probiotic and it has helped keep my IBS under control! I take only two a day, one in the morning and one at night, and it has dramatically reduced my IBS symptoms. Highly recommend if you have digestive problems and want to get it back to working normally.

It's suppose to be very healthy so I thought I'd give it a try, Not to be graphic but I seem to have more waste than normal, not an urgency to go but a better cleainin if you get my meaning, I will continue this for at least a year to fully get the true results.

The product has zero smell, which means that it contains no sodium butyrate - none. What's in it? Who knows?!? Proper butyrate but smell like cheese!... I contacted the manufacturer (whose website reads Copyright 2017 and is outdated - i.e., it is 2020 already - see attached image): they responded within 24 hours and said that they've had a weird batch or two in the past and that I can return the product if it has no proper scent. Clue: a good manufacturer would have just sent me a replacement for the inconvenience. Next, the label has misspellings (see image): in one place they reference SCFA (correct), and in another they spell it as SFCA - seems like an honest misspelling, but hey, it takes really careless (or dumb) people to sell a product whose bottle label (which has less than 200 English words on it) was never proof-read by anyone. lastly, the label is outright misleading as to the volume: it says "180 Capsules / 1500mg" on the front, which is not true - because you need to take 2 capsules to get 1500mg, which technically means that this is really 180 capsules / 750mg. The verdict: stay away from this product.
