All chairs I wanted to use were 25" to 27" in width. A 48" table will probably only accommodate one chair, 60" accommodated 2 of my chairs and may be good enough for you, or your chairs might need 72" tables for 2 chairs. Be aware of the height of your chairs, some chairs may not fit under the table. My chairs are adjustable and fit fine. Someone pushing a chair in might overturn the table even though it weighs about 35 lbs and is very sturdy.
