No other socks I've worn in my 67 years are as comfortable as these. These are the only socks I wear now. Seem to be quite durable so far after about 6 months of heavy use. Great for wearing around the house without shoes. Very warm but will not make your feet sweat. Amazing. Lifetime warranty and made in the USA. Highly recommend.

Been wearing these socks for years. For a while I used them only for hiking. Really liked them so I got more. Now they are daily-wear, all seasons. After many laundry cycles, I have a mix of new and old. The oldest still match the newest. No special handling in laundry, machine wash, tumble dry. Also, some have been harshly laundered on camp trips, soaked, soaped, and wrung out by twisting them, and still good an new. They really are darn tough.

I have purchased a few Darn Tough socks (leaving review on only one)... they are expensive as heck but so far despite washing them all 30+ times, the bottoms aren't wearing away like usual cotton socks. I don't know how long these things should last but they are trending to seem to last a lifetime at least in my use case. Maybe the elastic material inside of them will eventually degrade and give out if that's going to happen over time. 🤷‍♂️ In the time I have had all my Darn Tough socks, I would probably have gone through two iterations of replacing my cotton Gold Toe socks. What I mean to say is, up front they are pricey, but I am reaching the point of quality over quantity in terms of ROI. I still have what appears to be a lot more life in my Darn Tough socks still that justify their initial cost. They are thick on the bottoms, look well constructed, and are comfortable. Maybe a little on the tight size for their 'size'. Also maybe not suited for summer heat, but I endure. Do recommend giving them a trial/sample run if you are in a limbo state of trying to justify cost. I gave them a 'trial run' and am now ~12 pairs in on my 'trial'.

This is my 1st pair of Darn Tough Boot Socks. I already have two pair of the Crew Socks. They are not cheap $$, but you get what you pay for. The crew socks are great for my light hiking boots and approach shoes. The boot socks are a perfect fit for my 10" steel toed work boots. Padded in all the right places. What makes these socks a real winner though is the blend of materials they are made from. I can wear the socks in leather work boots and my feet stay dry at 90 Deg. temps. and warm at 10 Deg. temps all day. Neat color combinations too. "Made in Vermont" on the tag has always been a symbol of quality to me as a Native Vermonter. Lately, it's been a bit over-used though and some products are just... meh? Darn Tough socks however are the kind of quality product that Vermonters can be proud of and I hope you guys and gals keep making them here for a long time. They are kind of like the Vermont equivalent of LL Bean's Maine Hiking Boot. Recommended! Jimmy Update: Having used these socks for an extended period of time I am leaning strongly toward the boot socks vs. the crew for any boot 8" or taller. Having several inches of sock above the boot top helps you to keep them cinched up properly. The crew sock and an 8" boot (work boot, hiking boot) will leave you having to make more adjustments during the course of the day, whereas, the boot top size sock keeps them from diving down into the boot and everything seems to stay in-place. Great socks, I hardly wear my Thorlos anymore.

The scent blocking/anti microbial properties really have to be seen in person to believe. Typically I take my shoes off at the end of the day and the scent is noticeable from 5 feet away. These socks you can give a whiff from one inch away and the smell of laundry detergent is more present than any trace of foot odor! Truly remarkable and they blow my other similarly priced wool socks out of the water in this area. Whether it's hiking 10 miles in 85 degree weather or just trekking through the supermarket my feet naturally sweat a lot. I've also been battling athletes foot on and off all my life. Even with good hygiene my feet just need special needs. I've gone through a great variety of sock types and these are easily at the top of my list. Expensive yes, but to me these socks represent a refreshing change from the disposable and designed to fail era we live in. Take into account the warranty and that one hike blogger tested 700 miles of useful life these are well worth it. They do run on the tight side! I'm a 10.5 and X-Large fits perfectly. Large was much too small and the heel cup fit more underneath my heel unless I stretched and pulled them up claustrophobicly tight. My legs are somewhat thick and stocky but not unusually big. Switched to X-Large and found the foot length perfect but still at the ankle bend it can feel like a pinch and the entire shin length has a squeeze to it. Not unbearable, just noticeably tighter than other hiking socks I've owned. Likely over time they will adapt and open up a bit so I'm not too concerned.

I was introduced to these at a local PNW sports store, REI. They were a little spendy, but the store associate told me you can return them at any REI, with or without a receipt,.. and they will give you a new pair off the rack! Then I figured I’d buy a pair on Amazon too. The nice thing about these for hiking or just every day wear, besides the lifetime guarantee,.. the wool blend makes them anti-microbial and lightly anti-fungal. If you do a lot of running or hiking, and wear cotton socks, you usually encounter an infection or other issue during your hiking career. I used to do a lot of running and have since switched to hiking in my older age. Every six months to a year, I would get a red swollen spot on the ball of my small toe that would have me out of the game for a couple weeks. Ever since switching to wool socks,.. no issues! Now every hiker I tell about the magic of wool socks,.. says,”duh, every hiker wears wool socks for their anti-microbial properties.” So I guess I was late to the game. 😅 That said, for my every day working folks and general walkers that have foot issues, I recommend they get some darn tough socks, and a lot of their minor aches and pains go away, too. So if you have a minor infection flare up from time to time that isn’t structural, these might help. I’m sold on these darn tough socks. The lifetime guarantee is just icing on the cake. The first time I put them on, they seemed a little more confining than cotton socks, but after a few times wearing them, they fit very well. If you do any running, trail jogging, or hiking, I can’t recommend these socks enough. They are awesome.

These socks were pricier but kept my feet plenty warm on my first mountaineering experience. They are also incredibly comfortable and cozy for normal winter wear.

The sock is expensive but it’s the best socks I ever wore. It is thick but it keeps your feet warm and dry. For its thickness, it also does not cause your feet to sweat.

These are by far the best socks I have ever owned. They are extremely warm and my feet don’t sweet in them and best of all is they don’t fall down or bunch up under your feet. Highly recommended!

When I was ordering it said unit count 2, why did I only get 1 pair? I wouldn’t have ordered it otherwise!
