I prefer them that way so I can put labels on the bottom.** A: Yes they can. It is a foam form the bottles rest in which is flexible for bottle size. However, if bottles are too small they may slide in and out of the designed space. We have model paints and they are a perfect fit so don’t know if the bottles where smaller. **Q: Will this fit the vallejo model air paint 0.57 oz, bottles are 1/2 inch taller** A: Mine holds my sprayer bottle, pallet and instructions for different projects sitting atop my ink bottles. I would think it would hold your bottles at 1/2” taller. But, you can always return it.
