only good for non-porous items, not made for paper pouches or cloth-wrapped items
The Good: cheap, seems well-made with good robot welds. Works as advertised. The bad: came with a light oil glaze all over the insides - they use oil on the metal sheets before they press them. They were obviously not cleaned after this. The welds are good but they were not polished or ground down so there were sharp edges on some of the welds - little flecks of metal that are sharp. I had to wash the insides with soap and water before using it and file off the weld shards. Also, the instructions are ridiculous - written by someone with English as 2nd language. This is an actual sentence from the 4 page instructions: "Donut release steam or open the lid immediately..."The Ugly - this thing is loud and scary to be honest. It works by using the safety valve to keep a constant pressure. That means every 30 seconds or so it let's out a very loud and sudden HISSSSSSSSSS that spews a lot of steam all over your room. My room looked and smelled like a sauna afterwards. I assume this is normal for this type of unit, but my staff was confused as to what could possibly be going on in my office. Also, this unit does not have a drying cycle - everything will come out wet. I put in some medical utensils that were individually wrapped in autoclave pouches and they came out soaked and unusable (if the pouch gets wet after the autoclave it's determined to be non-sterile as microbes can pass through the paper via capillary action). That's my fault though - I didn't even think about the drying cycle. So, you can use this to sterilize your naked instruments, but once they come out of the autoclave and are set inside some sort of case or out in the open, they are no longer technically sterile.

OUTSTANDING!
This product was exactly what I was looking for! I use it to steralize my tattooing equipment and when I went shopping around this was by far the most "bang for my buck" while still allowing me to purchase a quality product. Built with care (all welds were excellent!). Also the company I purchased this from MTN went above and beyond the normal customer care because when I ordered my product from Amazon my shipping cost was a little on the high end, this company took the time to make sure that I knew I was paying that much in shipping and that I hadnt selected the wrong address by mistake. They contacted me by email about this manner and they got back to me with an email 4 minutes after i sent my response letting them know that I was aware of the shipping costs. So yes hands down 5 out of 5 the product works/built/shipped/designed outstandingly. Definetly worth getting!

Just Arrived.
Works perfect! Looks better and the packaging couldn't be more sturdy. It was very well protected. And what was even better was that it arrived TWO weeks earlier than it was supposed to come so i was really surprised at how fast it got here. I ordered on Sunday night, it is now Wednesday and it is here already. I didn't pay for any extra shipping. Of course i live in San Francisco, so i don't know if that mattered on how fast shipping was? Am i close to where it was being distributed? Anyway, i couldn't be more happy with the product, its being used to clean tattoo supplies that i like to keep clean.

product came quickly and packaged well...
was happy to see the portable size of this unit as I have a small shop and it fits great for my salon/tattoo sterilization needs. And since it has a built in element, no stove top is required, which is a great quality.

Really love it
The best price mini autoclave I have found, it actually works completely fine, and you can sterilize up to half a Liter of tissue culture medium in 24 large gerber jars or 750ml in 36 little gerber Jars, really simple operation, in about 30-40 minutes you can have your media sterilized. A bit scary if you stand by it the first time, but that vapor shoots really mantain the adequate pressure.

Bad customer service
You cannot call them. Must wait for email response. The instructions for the thing were not clear. Burnt up three cords using it. Autoclave is very simple which is why I purchased it. It works great if it doesn't burn up the cords but good luck with that. Was told to "fill the autoclave past the inlet plate where the cord connects" with water. We did this every time we used the item. But if water level gets too low during cooking, the heat transfers to the cord and burns it up. If you fill the autoclave too generously, then you cannot close it. Very problematic. The cords are pricey to replace. You can use the autoclave directly on a stove top but it is much slower to heat up and requires more monitoring.

Does the job, but requires constant monitoring.
I use this to sterilize culture media. The only thing I don't like is it must be attended during most of the process.
