My cat loves Halo
5 stars and I've never even tasted this stuff. My cat puts up with it though and I'd like to think she is absolutely thrilled that I purchased another bag of top shelf cat food. She has a happy dance and gets very talkative when I scoop it out so either she's pissed or ecstatic that I am giving her food of my choice. She has bitten my hand though so.......All jokes aside, she even gets some wet food daily and she loved Halo's wet food, until a crazy cat lady :-P, pointed out and told me about carrageenan so we've temporarily switched from Halo's pate until they remove carrageenan. My cat is picky, only likes small kibbles and pate, nothing else, not even treats or left overs unless the left overs are chicken wings or fish. It doesn't have a very strong cat food smell so my cats breath ain't kickin' and I don't need a gas mask and biohazard suit when I dig for treasure. My cat also doesn't overeat so I can trust her with leaving the food out and she maintains a healthy weight and always has a nice coat. With other kibble she'd have some dandruff but with Halo, it went away. Also, Halo's customer service is fantastic and they love the feedback from pet owners. 5 stars in my book and I'd totally recommend Halo.

Tried quite a few other ones but this one works
We've had our cat for just over a year. We've tried feeding her a few different types of cat food the first few months we had her. We did try the Halo Spot's Stew Natural Dry Cat Food, Sensitive Cat, Seafood Medley, 6-Pound Bag bag of cat food but she had some bad gas with it, :-) We also tried a couple other brands that I don't care to name. She had a lot of diarrhea with the other brands but with Halo, we found that even with the bad gas, her stool wasn't slimy or excessively wet. We switched from the Sensitive Cat type to this one about 6 months ago. She's been doing great with this cat food. Still gassy but not really noticeable. We also noticed that she loves anything with salmon flavor. So this seemed to hit the spot. She loves it so much that she doesn't seem to chew it sometimes. Just gobbles it down as fast as she can. She hasn't gained a lot of weight. She's not a hyper cat but fairly active. She loves playing fetch a few times per day. The one thing we noticed is that she is staying around 10 lbs. She is a really healthy cat. She had one day where she sneezed all day and another day where she got something stuck in her paw. Other than that, we hadn't had to take her to the vet. Our other family's cats are always going to the vet. They usually get really sick with diarrhea or the excessive running nose. I would love to attribute the difference to this cat food we feed our cat. But there can be other factors too. We just like the ingredients and how health this food is. Try some and see how good it is for your cat!

seems to agree with all our cats
For YEARS we had been using NUTRO MAX CAT Indoor Adult Roasted Chicken Flavor Dry Cat Food 16 Pounds with our cats. They spend a great deal of time inside and we wanted a good quality food to keep the smell down. That cat food succeeded with what we needed. Even when we lived in n RV for awhile. A few months ago, (since we were down to one indoor cat, one cat that slept inside at night, and one that was mostly outside) we decided to switch cat food brands. Because it seemed ONLY the chicken flavor of the Max Cat was on sale. My cats ate the same flavor day in and day out for years. I thought they deserved a change. So I researched and researched and tried to find a brand that would be good for them, but would not break my bank. THIS food has been a nice change. One ... they love it. Two ... it makes their coats so soft. Three ... is there a three? I don't know at this time. All I know is I came back to purchase a second bag. I am very happy with this brand and it seems to agree with all our cats.

Great ingredients for a great price!
I switched my cat to Halo cat food when she kept developing cystitis on another popular brand. She and my other cat are absolutely nuts for it! I love the ingredient list and am confident that I'm giving them the best they can have. Neither of my cats have developed cystitis Since switching to Halo brand. The only thing I don't like about it is the inconsistency in shape / color. Sometimes they're nice and flat and sometimes they're a little thicker. One of my cats definitely prefers one shape over the other.

Happy cat, happy food
My cat loves this food! Honestly, enough said because she is picky to say the least. It's pricey but it's got all the ingredients and benefits we are looking for. And she's just the happiest kitty, nice shiny coat of fur, good digestion and we barely smell her litter box. Plus, plus, plus ๐

4 out of 4 paws up
Love this stuff for my little beasts. Especially like the ingredients. And, for the littlest, Boo, the morsels are small enough for her to chew. Rippy had to get used to it. He too had diarreha (sp?) initially (as mentioned by the previous post). He was only on a wet diet when I got him. His fur was a dirty, dingy dusty black and easily matted. He has been on this since May and his coat is gorgeous! I didn't know he was that handsome. Shiny, so soft and smooth. So obviously... diet affected his fur. Good stuff in, good stuff out. I would suggest transitioning to dry if your cat was only on wet previously. Start by giving this as a small handful of treats. Then put next to the wet food, then one meal wet and the other dry, and then all dry. That is what I did. Now the wet food they get once or twice a week as a treat. I will be trying the sample pack of wet food next once the Iams wet is used up. Not sure if Amazon has the sample pack, but I know the Halo website does. Great idea, by the way.. the sample pack. Really.. this stuff is very good for your littlest family members.

so I had to make sure that my cats were good for every other day visits
My picky kitties typically will only eat wet food. I guess I'm a bit to blame for that, since I only really fed them wet food since they were kittens, but that's not always the most convenient thing. Last summer my family was preparing for an out of state move, and that meant that we had to be away from home occasionally. My cats aren't travelers, and my pet sitter was all booked up, so I had to make sure that my cats were good for every other day visits. That meant dry cat food. Now, I've occasionally bought the stuff from the grocery store. Not often, but once or twice. And while it might not look much different in their bowls, it smells much different in their boxes, if you know what I mean. I've done highly scientific research (fed them then scooped their boxes), and I can say without a doubt that my anecdotal evidence shows that good food = less stink. Also, this food is great because it's so high calorie. My fattycat grump might disagree since he likes to eat and eat and eat and eat, but I like that I can give him less food (hello cost savings!) and have the benefits of the good food. He's adjusting, but still prefers his wet food. I use a pretty even mix of this and wet food these days. My cats are happy, less smelly, and healthy. I call that a win.

Quality and Cat Approval May Vary by batch
I have 3 cats: 2 picky female eaters (C&D), and 1 male garbage disposal. We started with the Sensitive Stomach version and have moved to the Complete Digestive Health. Nonetheless, I have noticed the same pattern with the 3lb and 6lb bag of both versions. ALL cats are ALWAYS warry of the 6lb bag. At EVERY feeding, I have to coach (almost force) female C to eat it; female D will never finish the bowl; the male sniffs and stares for several minutes before eating. With the 3lb bag, things are a little better; every OTHER batch/order I have to still coach female C to eat but the other 2 are fine. (I purchase 3lb about twice a month). Again, I recognize they are picky eaters. I also understand that this is Amazon and you may not always get the best items for many reasons but this is food, pet food, but food nonetheless. I am unsure if this is a manufacture issue or a warehouse storage issue. A similar pattern has also happened with Instinct Original Kibble -- 4.5lb bag was more tolerated than the 10lb, but every other batch of BOTH SIZES I got sniffs, stares, and angry meows. Still figuring things out but just wanted to let others know. Overall the food is decent; no pungent fish odor (they only eat fish varieties), doesn't cause overly stinky poops, kibble is small, not dusty/crumbly. Complete digestive health has caused more shedding and food begging.
