TechCare Tm "Ever Ready" Protective Leather Camera Case, Bag for Canon PowerShot G15 , Canon PowerShot G16

The case is very nice looking and protects my camera well so that I can toss it in my purse with no worries. I was concerned when it did not come in the original box shown in the picture and, in fact, came in no box at all. It was shrink wrapped in plastic. It did not look used and it looked like the same case in the picture. I got a great price on it so I did not return it. It takes a little manuevering to figure out what snaps to release when you take a picture but I got used to it after awhile. The seller sent the item quickly and safely packaged.

I carefully checked all available photos to make sure the "hardware" on this case was silver, not gold-colored. This won't matter to many people maybe, but it does to me. Item arrived has gold hardware and so I will be returning it. Other than that, it is a pretty well-fitting case. But I would not confuse this synthetic with genuine leather...then again, it's not priced like real leather would be either.

Fits the Canon G16 perfectly. Like most camera hardcovers there is a bit of finesse in removing the top part for a quick shot. The side snaps are easier to unattach while the bottom snap is stronger. I find I unattached the side snaps and let the top part hang down by the bottom snap when taking a quick picture. I do hold the top part down with my fingers to make sure it doesn't get in the way to the lens mechanics. Otherwise I take the entire top part off and stow away when I know I am going be continuously shooting.Bottom case screws in very secure and snug and there is a bottom mount for a tripod that I have yet to use.Black faux leather looks very nice and the whole case is stitched and put together very well, giving good solid protection for my camera while carrying around my neck or tossing in my bag.Great price too!

Looks and feels like real leather. Especially like the way the over-piece of the case pivots on the snaps. Other Ever Ready cases I've had put the snaps for the over-piece on the bottom of the base-piece which requires some extra wrestling to make the camera useful. I usually will take the over-piece completely off in order to use the camera. With this unit you only need undo a single snap and the over-piece easily rolls back exposing the camera for use. No need to remover the over-piece. A quick reversal of the process and the camera is ready for stowing.Note that competing products for the G15/G16 are similarly designed and so this is not a unique feature of this unit. It is different from ever ready cases for other cameras.

Ordered case for Canon G15, per photo and description on webpage, however wrong case was shipped.While case appeared well made, it had tripod socket in wrong spot and therefore did not fit camera.I returned case and re-ordered a new one from a different vendor.

Not really gappy about the fact that i have to remove it compleatly in order to remove the memory card

The sleek design of the case not only wrap around the camera good,also the thickness of the leather protects the camera very good from dropping,tossing around or drizzle rain.It is very easy to unsnap the front cover when ready to take a picture- just unsnap the two side buttons & flip the cover over & ready to shoot.
