It’s the best meat you can ever taste in the market. It’s great for quick meal or adding it to your special recipe.

It tastes like beef. The consistency and flavor is a small chunk pot roast. After I dipped off the fat that was at the top of the can and drained the liquid, I was left with a little over a pound of meat. It tasted good and I'll be glad to have it around if there's a reason I cannot get to a supermarket. It has a shorter shelf life than freeze-dried beef, but it is a cheaper option and saves water. You may be able to heat this in the can as there is no liner.

It was really good and I LOVE the shelf life. A little pricey but I understand why.

I can’t say that I’ve tasted this yet. I didn5 realize how small the can was.. $26 is too much. I will remember as I’m eating this in a couple of years.

I bought one can for palette testing and I have to say this stuff is foul~! I read some reviews where people said it tasted like dog food...although I have never tasted dog food I would have to agree with their assessment...in fact as I had the can in my kitchen my brother came in and could smell the meat and instantly asked why he smelled dog food!...was looking for a long term storage meat..this will not be it..in desperate times it would do..but there has to be something better.

Our can had just over six tablespoons of rendered fat inside. It was pretty easy to scoop out. We were surprised though at the amount of fat. However, the actual meat was very, very lean. It was nice to be able to season the meat to our taste. We used the meat in a simple soup, i.e. Minute rice, beef broth, a drained can of mixed vegetables, a little salt and some pepper, and it was very good. Overall, despite the amount of rendered fat in the can, we do recommend this product.
