Epson Label Maker
Pros: A case to hold and protect the product. The option to use batteries or the supplied charger. Got this guy on sale which is fantastic! You’ll never get bored with its many features. It’s a label maker that can print barcode's and print on sink wrapping. My label maker came with a hard case for storage, a sleeve to protect it and make it easier to hold the label maker a charger and a roll of tape and a lifetime warranty! How many other label makers offer this type of warranty? I compared this label maker to other top brands and the cost to own them was far more expensive and over time. Their customer service department is great and will answer the phone!Cons - This is an industrial label maker and holds 6 batteries which can make it heavy to hold and is an older model and not a con. It could benefit from a brighter screen. The print for the instructions are small and with one call to customer service I received larger print instructions which I printed out and put into a binder. Ok, the print stuff is not a con. In closing, this label maker is a five star printer offering endless options. This label maker will save you money because of its warranty and that the tape is made by other manufacturers who offer tape bundles that work with this printer. This is one of first products I can truly say Amazon offered a great deal in pricing and offering a printer that is a great product. Buy this one you can’t go wrong! As you can tell I made a good decision and will not easily get bored using this product! Printing is fun again! Bravo Amazon, Bravo Epson!

I like that it prints on multiple types of media
I like that it prints on multiple types of media label tape, ribbon, & shrink tubing. It makes it very handy crafting and keeping my art supplies organized. It did take quite a while to figure out how to set it up and to use it properly. The instructions are a little vague. I had to go online and find instruction videos on quite a few things.

Great For Labeling Everything!!
I've found this extremely handy for labeling everything in my music studio. From mic cables to unlabeled buttons on the mixing board that have special assignments. And it was nice to fool proof all the condenser microphones by putting a 48Volt label on microphones that take 48V so whoever plugs them in knows to check. Just the label printing function has been a huge help. It prints them as fast as you need and the quick cut feature is sweet! Changing the label cartridge to a different style is a BREEZE! It was a slight learning curve learning how to use all the various functions, but I didn't find the instruction booklet too difficult unlike some other products. And by the way, there's a lot of how to's on YTube if need any help figuring it out. I wish I'd bought one of these years ago.

A full featured printing system!
So if full disclosure, I have not used it much (yet). But I did receive it, try it and play with it. I got the one with the carry case and its very nice and sturdy, and holds everything including the instructions in one place (it has batteries but I also got the AC/DC power supply and AC cord). The printer itself was easy to load and use, contrary to some reports I read (dont know what they are complaining about). It also appears to not pad the print with a huge leader and lagger like other printers do (although it still has some). The printer has a rubber "boot" around it and I found this feels nice and gives you a firm hold on the printer and it also helps prevent it sliding on the table. The print was big and high quality on the trial labels I printed. The key reason I go this one is because it will print Heat Shrink Tubing! As an electronics lab rat this will make project SOOO much nicer with wires labeled ready to go. I have not bough any think tube yet, but that is on my list next. So this is just initial impressions, but I'm very happy with it thus far, and if you dont see a follow up complaining about issues, its likely that any issues I encountered were not significant (that is not a promise that I will update this review if I find problems, but if the problems are significant and piss me off enough I will update this most likely). So at this time, I find this highly recommended seemingly avoiding the pitfalls of there systems I read about, and so far meeting all my expectations! Lets hope that continues!

Most of the features of much greater Epson Label Makers
I own more than a dozen label makers. I can tell a great one from a good one, and a good one from a bad one. The LW-PX300VP kit is a pretty good value at around $90. The rubber sleeve adds some extra grip and is a great addition to the kit. However, it has to be removed to swap cartridges or batteries, so if you do that a lot it might be a task. The mix of labels is far and above that what you would get with comparable label makers. In addition to regular type labels with a huge choice of colors, you can print on magnetic tape, heat shrink tube, and even ribbon. Max label size is 3/4" which is also larger than comparable label printers. About the only thing it doesn't do is QR codes. It literally has almost all of the advanced features of Epson's more advanced industrial label makers. On the downside........It prints kind of slow. On the upside the label waste is only around 10mm on either side of your printed label. Some label makers have up to an inch of waste on either end.If you want a label maker for home, that can perform a few extra tricks then the LW-PX300 is a great choice.
