Loved it. Got it after reading all the reviews. The shipping was slow but the wait was worth it. Amazing taste texture and quantity. Had it cold out of the packet without heating as the aroma was out of this world. Will definitely buy again and also recommend to friends and family.

Firstly, I decided to take time to write review to appreciate the effort to ship this all way from tirunelveli to Bangalore. Though the taste is not as good as iruttu kadai, it definitely carries the taste of traditional halwas available in other tirunelveli stores. The inner package is soggy with oil, can't help. However the shippers made sure the outer packing is done well so there is no spill. The delivery can be expedited as they already charge for delivery. Also the cost is high as delivery is charged separate. Still it is better compared to other sellers. I will definitely keep buying and also recommend this product.

In my place we have never had the habit of ordering food items online but Melting Halwas was the first thing I ever ordered for family.We loved it absolutely because the sweet content was just so perfect that made us eat more. The delivery was so quick and the I must say the packaging was excellent. It was like a travel kit with all the spoons, tissues etc that made it so easy to eat it on the go. We din't have to search for towels to wipe out hands or spoons to eat. They made it too easy. Good job MFI..!!! Will order more... I 100% recommend this to all halwa lovers out there.

Good Halwa, good amount of ghee used. Quality is good. Go for it without hesitation.I had visited Tiruvenveli few days back. I had bought 500 gm of halwa from local shop which is obviously not enough. I was looking for same taste and quality. This halwa I thought matched that authentic quality.But price in Amazon is higher than their own website, infact almost double. Plus they charge shipping cost in Amazon.Problem is they don't ship outside tamilnadu from their website.I have no choice to order again via Amazon paying double the amount and extra shipping cost. Lol.

Firstly the product is not bad. It's just not half as good as people glorify it.Secondly, it's a chore to prepare the 'melting' part.You can't directly heat it over a pan, you'll only get melted stuff that quickly solidifies into a tar like substance.You can heat it in a idli cooker or in a hot water bath.I feel like it's quite difficult to swallow. It's neither too sweet not too bland, but it's just not the best halwa I have had.You can't eat more that two mouthfuls to be honest. It's full of ghee, people who are health conscious should avoid this or limit the quantity consumed.

This was so poorly made. I had high expectations until I put the first spoonful in my mouth and tasted like medicine and smelt like medicine.

It's a halwa (found it sugary though) and priced good that they can just sell under the name of halwa. It's nowhere near the taste, flavor, color and texture of thirunelveli halwa. So don't get fooled by the name!

I used to get halwa from Anantha Bhawan when I visit Chennai and was always disappointed.I just tried this for curiosity, the vacuum sealing preserved it well. Both my daughter and I relished it. The trick is to warm it only for 10-15 secs.I wish they can sell a bigger package for lesser price.
