Syngenta 68078 Advion Singular Tube Ant Gel Lure, 30g

I only ordered one tube for my house because of how much money I have spent on so many products to get rid of them ants and I have never had any luck, but I was extremely impressed with the fact that one tube was enough to get the job done and it actually worked! My house is right under 2,000 square feet, I am in southern Louisiana where we get a ton of rain and always have to deal with ants. I have found the most affordable way that actually works and I am not seeing any ants anymore. The gel is easy to apply and mess free, protecting my dog from reaching it or my curious 5 year old son. I have used this brand for a different purpose (we had a few of them little roaches that came in my house) and it worked extremely fast and I saved so much money since I didn’t need to hire an exterminator. As soon as I found their entrance, I immediately put a pea size down and 30 minutes later they started feeding on it. I’ve been using this product for 5 years and works excellent. The first time I saw carpenter ants coming through the baseboards and cracks in the floor where I live, I decided to try this stuff because the ants just completely ignored and pushed the Terro baits and every other bait products I put down. I applied the gel (which was 5 years ago) and got rid of most of them in 3 days. They ate on it for 3 days and had to refill the stations about 3 times. Got some residuals after, but they were completely eradicated after a month, so patience is key, they are relentless! This kept them away for 5 years! I started applying it once a year to prevent them from coming back. Then a new colony found another way in and had to buy more and got the same results. I would recommend putting it directly in their entry and exit points (follow their trail so you can see where they coming from) so they have to eat it in order to get through, and prevents them from further invading the area, gets rid of them quicker! Some ants are not necessarily looking for food first, they forage first, especially for debris, so keep that in mind. Their diet may be protein based and not anything sweet, (keep that in mind as well) that’s why basic bait traps don’t work as well sometimes. The product itself is easy to use, no mess unless you put a lot down in areas where debris and traffic can get on it. It’s durable and won’t be buying any other product.

I googled it and this was suggested. It took some time but it has so far seemed to have worked. I am not seeing anymore carpenter ants. I put some in a diy ant trap, they went nuts and inhaled it. It is worth the money, I tried a few other thints that didn't help at all. This is the best. Will buy again.

5 stars — Finally worked for my ant problem! 🐜 Ant ID: Argentine Ants (California) I had a pretty bad ant infestation in my one of my kitchen cabinets and under my kitchen sink and tried TERRO first. It initially seemed to get rid of the ants, but unfortunately they came back a few weeks later in a different area. I decided to try Advion, and the difference has been amazing. The ants immediately swarmed the bait, and although there were still a lot of them during the first 24 hours, I left them alone and let them feed on it. 2 days later, I could barely find any ants — just a few stragglers and some dead ants near the bait. After dealing with hundreds (possibly even thousands????) of ants, the difference was honestly shocking. I’m going to keep the bait out for a couple more weeks just to be safe, but so far I’m extremely impressed. Advion worked much better for me than TERRO did!

I am not sure if the product is being stored properly before being delivered to customers. I used about 2/3 of the syringe. At first it was very liquid not gel like at all, it attracked the ants but over the next few days no change at all in the number of ants seen. At about the half way point I was getting gel and it would still attract the ants but dry to a crystal like structure and they would ignore it. I then cleaned it up and repeated. The gel dried and formed a crystal and the ants kept at it and could be seen taking chunks away so I left it until they cleared the whole thing. Now no more ants. To be clear the first time it dried to a crystal they stopped going to it but the second time they kept feeding on it. So I think it was separating in the syringe and I finally got to a point where it was still a good mix so that worked.

This works really well. I put a pea size blob into a plastic container, like the kind you get from a grocery store deli. And then I used a match and burned a hole near the bottom of the container on two sides. And I taped it shut with masking tape just two little pieces. Then I put a smaller blob inside an empty individual size box of raisins that had no raisins in it. I taped it shut, but left enough space on either side for ants to crawl in. Within four hours, I had about 100 dead ants. Some in the tub with the poison, some on the table and some on the floor. It’s been two days and I haven’t seen anymore ants. I hate to use pesticides and in general I try and avoid killing things, but these were biting ants and I didn’t have any choice. This was the best choice I could make. I thoroughly wiped the table and the floor afterwards with first soapy water then vinegar and then water to make sure that I had gotten rid of anything that the ants might have tracked out on their feet because I have a cat and I didn’t wanna run any risks.

This product did the job, very effective. I didn't touch it, but the gel must've been sticky. It didn't take a lot of it, just a 2 inch line in the corner of the wall trim. There was no excess leakage when applying. It goes a long way. Within a week, no more ants. They were immediately attracted to the substance. It was a cycle The workers came and piled up and then died on the spot. The next day the spot would be all cleared up. The worker trail would start again, and the same thing would happen. This happened about 5 times. It's been over a week, no more ants.

Once the ants find this stuff, they go straight for it and start carrying it back to the colony. The important part is to resist spraying the mound or killing the workers you see. Let them take the bait back where it needs to go. In my experience, within a day or two the ants are gone. It also takes very little, so a tube lasts a long time. I’ve already bought another one not because I have an ant problem, but because I know it works.

So far, so good. About 4 days in and I’m still seeing plenty of ants, but I believe I’m dealing with a very large colony. The ants are highly attracted to the bait and start feeding on it almost immediately. I’ve been applying small fresh drops in the morning and evening, and the number of ants seems to be gradually decreasing. It’s too early to judge the final result, but so far I’m impressed with how well they accept the bait. Shipping from the US to the Netherlands was also faster than expected. There was no tracking information at first, which had me worried, but it eventually arrived well packed and in good condition.

We used it for only a couple of days, and the ants are gone.

Simply didn't work. I feed the ants with this gel for 3 consecutive days. The ants ate all the gel every time and "asked" for more. Maybe the gel is ant food and they didn't explain it. Worthless as ant killer.
