She is a miniature dachshund, and I purchased a x-small short. Unfortunately after surgery she would not even let us look at her leg let alone touch it. So I ended up returning as there was no way to put this on her. The product seemed well made and honestly would have come in handy to keep the stitches clean outside. I would just try it out if your dog is having surgery.
