There is no relay, so they expect a direct battery attachment. Not the best, but could be worse. The hardware provided is all black oxide and the side screws are nicely inset into the sides of the housings. The dark background on the reflectors is a nice touch and makes these look great when turned off. Light output of the DRL side is good - maybe a little higher than expected - but the primary light is insane. Very bright and a great spot beam. Other lights may have a lot of output but don’t do a good job at focusing the beam. These lights focus the light great so if you put more than a single pair on your truck, you may want to decide whether or not to split the switches or combine them given you’re pushing 40 watts per pair (3.3 amps).
