Great Nut, Great Price!
I cut my original Fender plastic nut slots too low and the strings were buzzing. So I thought I'd upgrade to a bone nut. I got the 42mm one with the 7.25 radius because my Tele neck is one of the vintage style necks. The fit is amazing! I needed to sand the flat back (on the tuner side) just a little with 600 grit. The nut fit the neck super snugly; in fact I didn't need to use any glue at all. As you can see by the photos, it's almost finished. Also, the slots cut straight and clean. (no need for nut lube afterward either)NOTE: If you're putting in a new nut, cut the slots a bit above where they're going to end up and play it for a few days. You can always cut more but you can't cut less! I'm going to finish the nut this weekend and sand/polish the top. Highly recommended!

Pleasant Surprise
I have an old Epi LP Pro 100 that I have never been able to get the intonation right on. New bridges, tail pieces, a bone nut, a Tusq nut (both of which I thought were properly cut, clearly not,) countless truss rod adjustments.....but nothing would completely nail down the tuning. I could get close, but maybe a bit off on the first 7 or 8 fretted notes, so....untuned. And frustrating.I took a chance on this, not having very high hopes. It arrived on time, and upon first observation, my hopes were slightly emboldened as it seemed to be cut very precisely. And it definitely had some mass to it.I loosened the strings (just put on less than a week ago) cleaned out the nut slot with a small file, and placed in this nut. Perfect, tight fit on the front and bottom. Even the width was perfect. No overhang to bite your hand while playing. I wasn't sure how to set the screw height to begin with, so I adjusted every screw to nearly its maximum height with the intention of working down. Ran the strings through the grooves in each screw, tuned up to pitch. Spent maybe 10 minutes fine tuning......then, at last, sweet intonation.Every string, every fret......even the dreaded first fret tuning was dead on. As far as the sound? It might be slightly brighter.....or it might be me expecting it to be brighter.....either way, it sounds good. I can't tell much sonic difference between this and bone. Also, you can get your action super low too, if that's your deal.Glad I gave it a shot. High return on a small investment.

The nut is hardest part to get right on a guitar
This nut has a radius of 7.25". 9.5" is considered a very round neck. My roasted Fender neck has a 12" radius, the crappy plastic nut I removed from is pictured on the bottom, the KAISH is on top. It's going to take a lot of skillful, slow, delicate sanding to get this nut to match the curve, or lack of curve, of my 12" radius. It looks like a good quality nut though, and the slots are evenly spaced. I have two necks from Fender with factory plastic nuts, both had poorly spaced slots that were pure rubbish. I think I'm going to seek out a 12" radius nut instead and save me the time and tribulations.

A great buy. Recommended.
This bone nut is about half the price of the official Fender alternative, but I may prefer this one. Besides being cheaper, I found it easier to work with and cut than the Fender bone nut. The Fender one is whiter and harder, which probably means it's higher quality. But this one still looks good and sounds as good as any bone nut, which is the most important thing. In the future, if I need to buy a bone nut, I will choose this or another one from KAISH. I'm also pleased with other KAISH guitar parts I've purchased, which offer good value. For comparison's sake, this is very similar to the bone nut used in the Squier Classic Vibe series. Again, it's not the whitest or hardest option available, but it's great as-is.

It works and fits 43mm nut width exactly
This was a breeze to install. Very easy to set up and the intonation on my guitar is perfect. Not really much to look at, it could use some contouring and polishing but functionally it is a gem.

Great, but Takes Some Skill/Effort
I used this to replace my stock American Made Stratocaster neck nut. You will need to shape it to get it to fit right--so you need tools and a bit of skill. I have a workshop so no biggie for me.It will require you to take off about .25mm from the back (don't sand the "factory flat part, the side closest to the pickups, sand the back part closest to the tuners). On my neck, the factory nut curved with the radius of the neck . So I use the original nut as a template to mark this one so I knew how much to remove and how shape the curve. I used a Dremel (to remove mostly in the middle) and then carefully with 120 grit sandpaper to work with the bone to fit. I took my time and I am very pleased with the results. What I like the most (to my surprise) is how well the sting slots are cut. The spacing is dead on except for the 1E string, which is more "centered." This worked to my favor because I felt like the stock string spacing was to close to the edge and I did not like where it put my 1E. Not anymore, its perfect. Lastly, I use heavy top/light bottom strings (.52-.10). On the stock nut the 6E would not fit down and as snug as I wanted. I was planning on siling this nut to accommodate, but to my surprise, there was NO NEED. I easily used the .52 string to remove just enough for a perfect fit. In fact, I would say that all of my strings fit better in this nut. With a .05 degree reverse/shim added, and complete string setup, my strat build is finally complete. This is a great nut and I would recommend it to anyone who has the tools and time to figure out how to install it.

Rebuilt a Strat knock off
Worked perfect for rebuilding Stratocaster knock off. I had just a bit of sanding to get a tight fit. Worked out great and would be happy to buy this again for a good fix.

Perfect replacement nut for plastic
Recently did a partscaster build, but found that the nut included with the neck (a Strat-style) was plastic and rather nasty sounding. Thankfully I had also bought this bone nut in case I had messed up cutting the stock nut. The new nut not only fit in the empty slot perfectly, the string slots were the right height for a .009-.042 string set so I didn't have to adjust. The difference in tone was also apparent once the strings were onWas worth the risk, and I'd be happy to buy it again for another project.

Excellent Guitar Nut
I have been building guitars for years, and am now retiring. I decided to build one last signature guitar for myelf. Being very meticulous about string action, I thought I'd try this variable height brass nut in the build. I was not disappointed. Pin-point accuracy on every string - 5*****
